2 new movies this weekend Tomb Raider and Atlantis

from the box office guru
Invading 3,308 theaters, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider should be able to debut with around $45M.

Opening nationwide in 3,011 theaters, Atlantis: The Lost Empire looks to discover about $27M this weekend.

Swordfish, with its summer audience, may fare better and fall 40% to $11M this weekend

The animated comedy Shrek will finally have some family competition with the arrival of Disney's Atlantis. But the DreamWorks blockbuster is also attracting non-family patrons too so a moderate 35% drop to $11M seems likely

Buena Vista's Pearl Harbor has suffered back-to-back 50% declines since its mammoth holiday opening. A somewhat more stable 45% fall to $8M should result this time
