An organization of Internet-connected moviegoers going by the name of WeCanDoThis.com has called for a one-day boycott of movie theaters on Friday to protest against rising ticket prices. In a statement posted on its website, the group said, "By collectively boycotting movie theatres for one day, we can send a clear united message to Hollywood that we shouldn't have to spend $10 for a movie ticket and $3 for a box of popcorn."

That sounds like an idea bound to fail, and fail miserably.

Hee hee.

Kind of surprising that Showbizdata would publicize it.

That sounds similar though for different reasons the group that tried to boycot TV for a day, it didn't work either.

Hey Albi!

If you play the box office contest 3 more times this summer you'll be in the running for the random drawing when it ends.
