Box Office Contest - August 10

Three weeks, three $50 million plus movie openings. Will American Pie be the fourth? The Last of the Summer's Big Sequel/Remake/Video Game Movies opens this weekend. Most of the heavily anticipated titles have at least opened well (Sorry Final Fantasy). American Pie came out of nowhere (no pun indended) in 1999 to make $101 million. The sequel looks to easly surpass that total. Can it top the second week of Rush Hour 2?

Osmosis Jones (Farley Brothers, Bill Murray on the outside and an animated Chris Rock on the inside) also opens along with Nicole Kidman in the horror thriller (?) The Others.

There are several people who are all tied for one of the 3 big prizes at the end of the contest with 2 number 1 movie wins each. Again it so close that someone with NO wins in that area could still win it. I think we need to come up with a tie breaker decision soon - there have been several suggestions. I've been thinking about points per week (for every week a player entered) with a further tie break being the number of weeks the player participated. I'm still open to other suggestions.
