I'd been wanting to see it since it opened. Hey, I love a good heist flick.... I finally caught this gem today. It was wonderfully written and acted. All 3(Brando, DeNiro, and Norton) were great. The direction by Oz was top notch(who'd of thunk it...he's a comedy director after all) and really kept the tension up throughout. It kind of caught me off guard....it's really, really good.

DenIro didn't direct it...Frank Oz did. I thought I said that in my previous post.

Frank Oz didnt direct the Brando parts, as Brando kept calling him Piggy, as he was Miss Piggy. He was heard to say something along the lines of "I bet you wish you were still that pig, so you could.....do things to me". Strange guy :)

Anyway, so Oz left the set, and was telling De Niro what needed to be done in the scenes, and watched on a TV. Most of what Brando said was made up by him too.

BUT he was good in this. He's good at playing fairly normal people...I think his enraged bastard act has gotten cliche.
