Whenever I see the forum topics reading spoiler here or a link that says possible spoiler every bone in my body wants to see it but I fight back the urge because I just don't want the movie ruined in any of the simplest way for me I'll just look at a few sample bits from www.starwars.com and the trailers but nothing else if you feel th same way now you know you're not alone.

Well, I'm not worrying about spoilers yet, although I might end up regretting it.:)

I figure anything coming out now won't really ruin the movie since it's so early. I know some people are VERY fanatical about spoilers, though: In another forum someone mentioned who was playing Anakin and someone else got all mad that this information was posted without a spoiler warning!

I agree, though, that I don't want too much information beyond what's in the trailers and promo stuff. I don't mind knowing what the movie's generally going to be about, but I don't want to know specific stuff like who dies, and I don't want to have seen every ship, location, and character before I see the movie. I think by the time TPM came out I'd seen clips from just about every scene!

im not yet,

filming hasnt even started and lucas is so protective of his scripts that anything we hear now will either be just casting news or rumours, so im not to worried yet, but as they start filming ill start to read less and less.

some people are a little too crazy about not hearing anything about the movies,
ive seen people get pissed that someone mentioned who is playing anikin, or that a certain character would have kick ass fight scene in the next movies, (i wont say since some people are sooo crazy about them) but that was the only info given
but are these spoilers?? i dont think so they dont give anything about the plot away, or any major details about the film,

what do you guys think about how far some people take the anti spoiler thing

should i keep posting them here then? i know i do it alot.
maybe there should be a spoiler forum here? i think it would make it easier for those who wish to avoid spoilers to do so.

I assume spoilers(and rumours that are potential spoilers) are fine as long as you label the thread as a spoiler. No one can complain if they've been warned.:)

People will always complain. I remember in an issue of the Insider, someone wrote in complaining of websites like theforce.net that releases spoiler info because even though they warned of spoilers, it was too tempting.

As far as what people consider spoilers, I think some people are a little over-protective. The actor playing Anakin, for instance, will be revealed as soon as you walk in the theatre. Other stuff depends. I really think it's more of the quantity of what you hear than any specific thing. Except for Qui-Gon's death, was there ONE fact that could have spoiled the movie? Not really. Every movie has one or two big surprises that can REALLY spoil it, but that's all. However, knowing a lot of details can ruin it, too. For example, knowing about the Bongo wouldn't spoil the movie any, but knowing about every vehicle did.

It's also so hard to say what you don't want to know. Take that Jedi who is reportedly going to kick some arse. I doubt that would be much of a spoiler and I didn't mind hearing it, but what if this guy sits around doing nothing through the whole movie until the final scene? You'd just keep waiting for him to get busy and you wouldn't be surprised when perhaps you would have. The point is, anything could be a spoiler and you wouldn't really know. Knowing Maul had a double-bladed sabre spoiled that 3-way battle a little for me, and that was revealed in the trailers!

I'll try to avoid big spoilers, but I know I'll end up hearing some stuff I don't want to know. That's life.

Kyle posted his idea about a spoiler only forum in Feedback so I thought I'd make my response to that here as well. Problem with setting up a forum especially for spoliers is that everyone has a different opinion of what a spoiler is, and more than likely it could end up that all Episode 2 talk would move to the new forum to be on the safe side. If that was to happen however this forum would more than likely die since most of the talk is centred around Episode 2 and would therefore take place at the new forum. The same thing happened when we used to have a forum for Prequel talk and another for the OT - most of the talk about the OT was often related to the Prequels as well, so everyone just posted in the Prequels forum and the OT forum died out. In the end the 2 were merged to form this forum as it is today. Keeping everything in 1 forum is much easier. :)

Is it true that Anakin becomes a bad guy?

(sorry, was that a spolier?) :-P

I pretty much assume that I'll know the basics of the plot before I get to see Ep. 2. I just hope I can avoid anything that's supposed to be a surprise in the plot. I'll have to remember to avoid looking at the Soundtrack song list when it comes out.

lose internet access. that's the only way (for me anyway) that episode 2 won't be spoiled.

BTW, yes anakin does become a bad guy, that is a spoiler for episode 2 techically speaking, but if you didn't know that, well, may God have mercy on your soul! j/k!
