A lot to cover in II AND III !!!

1.The completion of Anakin's training

2.Anakin's rise to the level of Jedi hero of the Clone Wars.

3.The Clone Wars. (cannot be condensed into one or twe o five minute battle sequences. Needs much detailed explanation)

4. Anakin and Amidala' love affair, and their marriage.

5.The birth of the twins.

6.Anakin's seduction and fall to the dark side.

7.Boba Fett'splace in all of this.

8. An explantion of who Owen and Beru are, and how they fit into all this.

9. The build up of the Empire. It cannot just appear out of nowhere. We have to see how it is built up.

10. The fall of the Republic.

11. The Jedi purge. Again, this cannot be done in one or two scenes. This is a HUGE event, and requires much detail.

12. The separation of the twins, and their being hidden.

13. Where do R2 and 3PO end up?

14. How is the Jedi council dealt with?

15. The rumored love triangle between Amidala, OWK, and Anakin.

16. Kenobi and Anakin's duel.

A lot of this stuff really needs to be explained in great depth, and to squeeze all of this into a little more than four hours of screen time is near impossible. At least to do it right. Why can't GL just shoot a few three hour long movies and really lay things out?

that is an awful lot to cover, but the OT had a similar amount of topics to cover and did it in 3 movies of just over 2 hours. but who would complain about a 3 hour star wars movie? :)

A lot of those things overlap. I mean, the fall of the Republic and the birth of the Empire are more or less the same thing. The Jedi Purge and the destruction of the Jedi Council are both the same. Anakin's duel with Obi is really just one scene and is linked with his fall to the Dark Side.

Still a lot to cover, but the list can look really long depending on how you break it down.
