Is Jar-Jar Binks a female Gungan?

I'm serious... :) Think about it, both Captain Tarpals and Boss Nass had deep voices. I didn't see any female Gungans in Ep. I but would have to say Jar-Jar was the closest thing to one. Maybe they're asexual like those aliens in "Enemy Mine" (ever see that one?) and Jar-Jar will give birth in the next film. Or here's a frightening thought: Maybe Jar-Jar is gay?

i agree with hawker. but, i dont think the fact that he was hit where his genetalia would normally be didn't affect him because he was a female, i think it was because he simply has no penis or testicles.

I would be inclined to say Jar Jar is male, perhaps he is just very young and his voice is starting to change. did you see the way he looked at Padme when saying "Whosa are Yousa" It looked like he had the hots for her. However, on the reverse side, if he was gay, that could be the real reason he was banished from Oonta goonga or whatever that city is called. Their society was not ready to accept gay people. However, when he returned to Nabo and help save the race, they decided that all gungans should be equals and that hat crimes should be outlawed. They proabably saw a lot of talk shows during Jar Jars abesntism. But I would go with him just being real young boy, and that is why he was so clumsy and he was the annoying kid who never shuts up.

Kyp and Qui-Gon Will, you're right it IS possible that Jar-Jar is missing a couple/three important parts of the male anatomy...which would explain a great many things. Scarloc, maybe he's a latent gungasexual, Hmm? Hawker, let's just hope limp wrist Binks gets his sh*t together for Episode II. I hear Obi-Wan is reading the book "How To Deal With Difficult Aliens" in order to better tolerate him for the next film. Yoda900, I'll have to watch Episode I again to see the lust in Jar-Jar's eyes. You know he could really be popular with the ladies...what with a tongue like that, are you kidding? Damn! ;)

I think that if Lucas intended for Jar Jar to be female he would have cast a female to do Jar Jar's voice.

Not only that, but now that I think about it, does not having a deep voice make one not a male. I dare anyone here to go up to Mike TYson and call him a girl. Micheal Jackson also has a high voice, tiny tim, and there are proably a lot I have not mentioned yet.

I can't believe I have now found someone else who has also come up the phenomenal idea that Jar Jar is just possibly a female or a homosexual. I think I heard somewhere that Obi-Wan goes crazy and is about to cut ole' Jar Jar in half - to which Jar Jar says "Are yousa gonna kill mesa?" and Obi-Wan replies "yousa might'n be sayin' dat!" Just because Jar Jar landed on his groin area on that droid tank doesn't mean that's where his genitals are, you know. I highly doubt every species (fictional and possibly real) have their genitals in the same spot as humans :p
