Okay, I'm sure there will be better captions. That is my favorite select pic yet. Looks like Obi-Wan will indeed have the same costume, and it seems to show some "ACK-ting!" to quote Master Thespian. (Jon Lovitz SNL character, not a Jedi... wait a minute...)

the colors on his new outfit are darker, and the pants dont match the tunic, wereas his old one was matching,
the boots seem to be the same for styling, but also seem to be darker than his older ones as well,

I thought it was different at first (and I'm sure the "real" clothes are new) but consider: it's ten years later in this film, those boots have been who knows where in that time and no-one in the SW universe seems launder their clothing even if they land in the Death Star trash compactor. (Blood stain? Dianoga wound? Walk it off!)

Ehhhh, it could just as easily be new. :) Cool pic in any case.

Joking aside, I think we can already rule that one out. In TPM, Obi Wan loses his robe before battle. If he were to get smoked by Palpy somehow, I would think it would be in battle, and Obi Wan would have got rid of his robe again. But then again, he didn't lose it in ANH, so what do I know?

That's right about the robe: He probably didn't fall during a duel.

The more I look at it, the more the background looks like a giant Death Star model. Hey, maybe it must be a giant prototype model built by the Mandalorian Clones under Palpy's direction! That PROVES that Palpy is involved with the Mandalorians because how else could he instruct them to build the prototype?;)
