Mark Hamill's the coolest guy on Earth!

I was just thinking about Hamill's career, and I've decided he's lived a great life and had a dream of a career. He's been the hero of the most popular movie series of all time (Star Wars) and he's been the voice of the Joker and the Green Goblin, two cool villians in two very cool cartoons. He's also starred in a video game (Wing Commander). In addition, he's wrote his own comic series (Black Pearl). Not to mention that in the midst of all this, he raised a family. Doesn't that sound like every kid's dream?

I think Hamill catches a lot of crap becuase he didn't go on to become as big as Ford (but then again, who did?). Nonehteless, his acting in the trilogy is the best (except for Guinness maybe)and his performance in ROTJ is the best acting in any of the SW installments and saves that film from being a total dog. If you compare him in all three films, you can really see his character growing from the wide-eyed farm kid to a mature Jedi Knight. Part of it is the writing, but the actor has to bring a lot to it (especially in these scripts) and Hamill does a wonderful job.

isn't that everyone's dream? to have a windfall lie the SW films and then be able
to live off that forever? I know it's what I would want to do! :)

actually, i dont think Hamill made huge bucks
for the SW films(ANH anyways). The one who did was Alec Guiness
as he knew how these things worked (not being new to the movie business) and signed on for
royalties as opposed to a set fee like the others.

That is my understanding of it, anyways.


..but yes Bromine, i think your summation of
Mark Hamill is absolutely correct (some of which
i never knew he did). I have always thought the
dude was cool.
