Hey, I've recently been re-reading my old Marvel Star Wars comics and noticed a few things. In the years between A New Hope and Empire, especially, there were a lot of little things in the Marvel series that actually ended up, though slightly altered, in The Empire Strikes Back.

For example, In one, Luke has a dream-like battle with Vader (# 21) in which he kills Vader with Ben looking on saying, "It's not Darth you've conquered--merely a shadow of him. A shadow that is your own fear."

Then there is also the title of one of the comics "The Empire Strikes" (# 1:cool: .

There are more, but I can't think of them right now. It also seems like I read something the other day that reminded me of The Phantom Menace, but I can't remember it right now, either. I'll post more if I find them.

Makes sense that GL would give the comics some direction. I think it's more a case of Marvel comics drawing ideas from Lucas than Lucas drawing ideas from the comics.
