September 29, 2000 -- Over a year after its theatrical release, fans will finally be able to own every note of music that John Williams composed for Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace from the opening logo fanfare through to the last end credit. Lucasfilm and Sony Music are pleased to announce The Ultimate Edition soundtrack set, due for release November 14, 2000.
The Ultimate Edition will deliver over 120 minutes of music, 68 tracks on two CDs, all in film running order. The set also includes a "bonus track" - Duel of the Fates with sound effects and movie dialog as featured in the music video. The Ultimate Edition will also include, for the first time, a track entitled "Desert Winds," which was recorded but not used in the final cut of the film. The set will feature exclusive cover art, picture discs, silver foil folding digipak packaging and a 60-page booklet showcasing photographs from the film.

I still dont trust you, nor believe anything you say, but I still laugh everytime you say something. Good to see you again.

Whats with the cover of the soundtrack???? They could really do something better, Hopefully Napster is still around when its released. :) hehe.
Looks worth the money though, lots of songs.

This soundtrack was the reason I passed on the first TPM soundtrack. I knew that eventually they'd come out with a version that featured ALL of the music. the booklet sounds pretty sweet. Does anyone know what it's going to retail for?

Maybe that pic was the negative..... :-}

The first soundtrack DOES have some mixes created for scenes that were removed or changed. :) I'm interested to see how the Official Complete Soundtrack compares to the homemade Special Edition TPM Soundtracks that have been circulating.

I'm thinking about buying the Trilogy re-release, btu I'm definitely going to get the new TPM soundtrack.

www.ultimateeditionsoundtrack.com/ (http://www.ultimateeditionsoundtrack.com/) <---- that the location of the final promo of the new soundtrack, go check it out. i think this release is gonna be great, but i've seen alot of people ripping the @#$% outta it over on some other forums. That seems kinda strange to me, i for one really pleased that it a complete movie edit soundtrack release, every minute of the music from the movie, in order, start to finish....the dialogue version of DOTF is gonna be great!
