Why not try some dark colors.

A spacey background always works for ME as well.

I have to ask: why do you think illuminous green is a good colour to use? All that happens to me when I visit your page is my eyes blur out and I can't read the text.

Back to the drawing board, I suggest. :)

Dood- just pick a standard theme - most of them are pretty easy on the eyes.
