Anybody know if these will be out anytime soon after the TPM DVD release?

Not a word yet. Personally, I doubt we'll see them for a while yet.

Call me crazy, but I think I'd rather wait until Episode III has been released into theaters. I'd like to just buy a Star Wars Saga DVD boxed set in late 2005/early 2006 (or whenever they'd come out) than buy them all seperately over the next couple of years and then watch as a boxed set with new and improved versions of the old DVDs comes out afterward.

I don't think we'll be seeing OT DVDs until EP3 is complete. Then we'll probably see a set put together that will make SW fans drool. I imagine many fans will end up owning 2 copies of EP1-3.

Well, I've survived this long on VHS, I guess I can wait another 5-6 years.:/

not me

I want these puppies NOW! I know Lucas wants to spend a lot of time on these and make them awesome but I'm not that patient - after all, Godfather, Indy and Forest Gump are finally coming out on DVD - SW should be right there with them

another 5-6 years is unacceptable :(

Then I guess you'll have to learn patience.

:)

I have a theory that they'll end up releasing TPM this year, AHN next year, and ROTJ the year after. It's just a theory. Ever since Lucas decided that he's release dvds earlier than after the release of Ep 3, I think that things have been in motion.

Of course it's just a personal theory, I have absolutely no proof.

AND SACRIFICE HAN & LEIA!??!

sorry, couldn't resist :)

I also have a feeling Lucas is going to release each DVD one at a time - and then he'll make a special edition set with all 4 movies - and then after episode 3, he'll release an "Ultimate" edition with all 6 movies - it just means more $$ in his pocket

Most movies get released over and over again- no one notices because most movies don't have a big fanatical fanbase. Basically if a movie is no longer in stock, and the studio thinks that enough people will buy it if it's put out again, then they put it out again.

Anyone thinks they NEED to have every release of Star Wars, and then complains about a rerelease is just silly.
