Amazon has released a poster and a promo image for the new half-hour sitcom version of Zombieland, which will be made available (along with the other six comedy pilots and six children’s pilots) for free on Amazon Instant Video and LOVEFiLM UK. Viewers will be invited to watch the pilots and then review them on the site; the feedback will help determine which of the 13 pilots Amazon Studios will make into full-season productions, to air on Prime Instant Video.

I'm not sure what to make of this!

The images alone make it look absolutely dreadful. I really don't think they can capture the charm and entertainment of the Zombieland movie without the charming cast. And with Zombies being so overplayed right now I do not think another Zombie show will gain traction.

One does not simply replace Woody Harrelson.

Everyone tryin' to get in on the Original Content Train with Netflix...but I think that this was a wrong choice for Amazon. We'll see though, they're only out the money for the pilot at this point.

Since Zombieland was originally pitched as a TV show even before the Walking Dead I am still kind of excited to see how this would have worked. What I do not get is why they want to keep the characters from the movie instead of just keeping the look and feel.
