Getting the show on the road?

Okay, we've decided on our new setting for the Jedi's "homeworld," but so far nobody's done anything, and I think we're all waiting on someone to go first.

If need be, I can go first with Hal, and start things off with him finally getting released from "Jedi jail" after his Ilum stunt. I believe Wei is going to be involved in getting him released, but does anyone else want to jump in on this? Or is there something else I should wait on, first?

I just hate seeing all this planning going into an update, and suddenly nothing happens.

Actually, I was going to post a thread today to tackle this very issue. The idea is simple enough, no story per se, just a glimpse at the average Jedi day as they settle into their new environment. Anyone would be able to join, and maybe characters would group up, disperse, go about their business, and then mingle with others. If stories come of it, then fine, but the thread would serve as a vessel for roleplayers to explore their new environment and address any changes their characters had gone through over the last eight or nine months.

I've had a shocking migraine today, but I finally got this thing posted, here (http://www.sw-fans.net/forum/showthread.php?p=400494#post400494).

As I've already said, I had in mind for this to be something of a sandbox thread for us all to test the water with our characters at the start of Year 10. Half of my post is basically me playing around writing Loki again, and the other half I've tried to dedicate towards setting the scene. Now, I took an abundance of creative license with the descriptions, if any of what I wrote clashes with ideas you had, just go ahead and contradict my stuff - nothing I've written is set in stone, it's just a jump-off point from which we can get stuck in to our new setting.

Dude, what you wrote is amazing. Repped within minutes of reading it. I love the atmosphere, the activity, the ad hoc arrangements of the whole camp. It feels vibrant and lived-in already, which is a lot to do in a single post, and you've set up some fantastic points of interest for others to build off of. Mad props!

My post is also somewhat lame. But I think I can get some better ones in there. Any Council members going to post?

I remembered that in my Ossus thread, Wei encountered some natives on the planet. We don't have to do much with them, but Wei might like to talk to someone in charge of security and see about perhaps getting a diplomatic group together to say, "Hi! We're your new neighbors! Have a pie!"

Also, Wei's visiting Ood Bnar later. :) He missed the Tree.

I'm wondering if I should post Tell to this, or have him make a visit as Commerce Minister (and hopefully benefactor of the new Order) in another thread, though this is a postulation on the future, as I've more than enough on my plate as it is. Now that I think about it though, it seems like a new thread might be a better way to go with that idea.

I'm liking what you guys are doing with the thread so far, but my brain isn't cut out to handle threads with overlapping threads / quote boxes at the moment, so this isn't something I can get involved in. Would anybody be interested in doing something a little easier for my brain to follow with any of my Jedi-related characters?

Also, I have a lot of fun writing Trip, my little K9-style utility droid. "Officially" he's owned by Jaden Luka and/or Amos Iakona, but has been hanging around with Wyl and Tak on the Wheel. How would you guys feel about him being a little more active as a character (like R2-D2)... maybe sort of the unofficial droid mascot of the Jedi Order or something? He's a good character who can show up and do stuff without me needing to get too entrenched in plots.
