Riddle me this...

I really wish we had a WTF tag as that is more appropriate. I got a friend request today from an ex-step-sibling I haven't spoken to since 1985.

Back story: We never lived together, she only came to spend two summer's with us when her father was married to my mother for a max of like two weeks each stay. Our parents divorced and it was ugly, very ugly. There has been no, I repeat NO communication between respective families since then.

I am at a complete loss as to why suddenly she felt the need to friend me on facebook. :x

I've had those kinds of friend requests. The one that stands out the most is a schoolbus driver from the valley I used to live in. Thing about her is that she's a huge gossip and loves digging up dirt on people. She recently unfriended me cause she got tired of me telling her that her FB forwards were fake and that she needs to do some research before passing stuff along. I guess trying to find dirt on me wasn't worth me telling her things she didn't want to hear.

Depending on the type of person your ex-step-sibling is, it could very well be that she only friended you to see what sort of gossip she can get off of your wallposts and stuff.

Edit - of course, she could also just genuinely want to reconnect. There's just no telling with things like this.

Yeah, there is no way of knowing what her motives are since I have no clue as to what kind of person she is. It just creeped the hell out of me yesterday. :p

I'm either going to ignore it or politely decline. Not sure which at the moment.
