I liked it. I think I will read the book now.

I want to see this but our movie opportunities are few and far between so we have to pick movies by what we want to see in theaters the most. I'll probably see it on DVD at some point.

I was not a fan. At all. My brother on the other hand loves it more than any film in recent memory. We actually went the premiere at the Chinese a couple of weeks back. Since then he has gone with several other people. I think he's already seen the damn movie five time. :)
I really appreciated the ambition, so I would definitely say it's worth seeing. And you could always be blown away like my brother.
I really should post more about movies I see.

Interesting - why were you not a fan?
For me I thought the way they managed to tell 6 related and different stories simultaneously without getting the audience lost was exceptional; and the camera work was nicely done.
I wouldn't say it was mind blowing, but it has been one of the better movies I've seen this year.
A few things bother me about it, but not enough to make me dislike the flick.

I guess this must be coming out in the UK soon because I saw a trailer for it in the cinema over the weekend. It looks.. intriguing.

I couldn't understand a large part of the dialogue (not just the apocolyptic section, but also the slave ship part...couldn't parse Hanks much at all). I thought the intersecting stories didn't flow well.
Basically I appreciated the ambition, but that's all. It reminded me of The Fountain, which is another movie I did not care for.

I totally thought that this was the random thoughts tab/thread. >_<
Anywho, I wouldn't mind seeing this movie. It looks, like Jen said, intriguing.
