Posting for Dragon. Well, we have parity, we have suprising teams, and we have replacement refs. So like one character whom I can't remember his name once said (or something like that), "Good luck people, you're going to need it".

Nah I was thinking of someone else, Han didn't have the 'people' part in there. From an old military movie I think. Anyways, here we go into the abyss.

I feel kind of sorry for BUF and PHI. While both are decent teams, the Pats and Packers both have an axe to grind after last week and will probably take it out on their opponents this week. <!-- / message -->

You mean BUF and NO? Anyway, the Ravens-Patriots game didn't have a game-defining call at the end, but it certainly had a lot of mystifying calls throughout, including the unsportsmanlike on the Ravens' bench. My brother pulled up the radio broadcasts from both teams, and each thought the refs were primarily helping the other team. Most of the time, incompetent refs do even things out eventually, but it's never fun to watch from either side.

Speaking of Philly, Mike Vick is having a year from hell. Three games and nine turnovers? How the heck are the Eagles 2-1?

The lockout is over
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8429885/nfl-reaches-agreement-officials-end-lockout

All I can say is thank god, I think the NFL realized that call was an embarrassment and they had to bring back the real refs.

And before I forget

Yay! Now we can stop complaining about the fake refs and resume complaining about the real ones! :D

Seriously, it's about time.

Anyway, the Ravens-Patriots game didn't have a game-defining call at the end, but it certainly had a lot of mystifying calls throughout, including the unsportsmanlike on the Ravens' bench.

Well, it did have the game-winning field goal going over the top of the right goalpost, and I'm sure a lot of Patriots fans aren't sure the call was made correctly. But that would have come down to a judgment call by one person anyway, since only the official standing directly underneath that goalpost has the right viewpoint to make the call.

I'm glad the trained officials are back. Let's declare September 27th national referee appreciation day! :eee

Welp, missed Thursday Night's game. Would have picked the Ravens anyway ;)
In other news, call me crazy cause I turned down a chance to go to the Patriots/Bills game on Sunday. :/ Stupid work making me feel like I have a crap ton of work to do this weekend.. including Sunday night coverage. *grumble*

I'm seeing the Jaguars' home uniforms for the first time this year. Whose bright idea was it to put dark teal patches under the arms and below the numbers? It makes it look like everybody's sweating profusely... in some rather unfortunate places.

Ended up out of town and couldn't get my picks in, would have had 11 right going into tonights game.

Well I'll pick Dallas for the survivor pool at least, hopefully can get that going!

Unless Dallas mounts a comeback in the last 12 minutes of this game, looks like I'm on the verge of a pretty damn good week. :)

And the tally! Wow, if you had to miss a week, this was a much better week to do so than last week. I'm leaving Morgan, Figrin, and Korax on the roll for this week, but if they don't pick next week, I'll assume they've dropped out. Now that the real refs are back, Fig, we'd love to have you if you can make it! :)
