One of the commentators I watch a lot on YouTube is super-hyped about this game. He compared it to Thief (which I've never played), which seemed to be a compliment. I normally don't do the sneaky-sneaky stabby-stabby type stuff in games (unless it involves a sniper rifle), so I may well pick this up to try something new.

I think I'm going to have to implement a "No more games until you finish one" rule. I have so many uncompleted things on my Steam. :uhoh

It looks like a cross between Thief and BioShock, which are two of my most favoritest games ever.

I am the anachronistic Batman! Just finished the first mission, I've been playing all day, and not a single detection or kill to my name. Now I jump higher, blink farther, and can see through walls. I love this game!

This game is awesome :D I have a few kills under my belt so far, but oh well. Blink is incredibly fun, and I find that I'm more partial to the crossbow than the pistol. I've loaded up on sedative darts to facilitate my sneaking.

I liked the mission at Lady Boyle's party :D All of the mask /costume designs were cooool

One thing I'm noticing - for me at any rate - is that in this game I find myself opting to redo missions to get better scores or explore other options to get around obstacles. I've never done that with any game before. When I'm given the option to either move on or replay, I actually have to sit and think on which to do.

I'm definitely going to play through the game again. I abandoned my no-kill run after the game somehow gave me a couple of kills on one of the first missions, but I'll be trying for full on ghost second time around.

Finished this game today, I got the low chaos ending which was really nice, if all to brief, and I did it without so much as being seen and without drawing a single drop of blood. Totally worth it!

And now, with what I can only describe as a serious case of gratuitous violence blue balls, I'm going to go back and raze the fair city of Dunwall to the ground. The gutters will run red! >D

Nice one! The flooded section, just after you complete the Lord Regent mission is proving a bit of a challenge for me. I can see how I could get through a particular section, if I had enough 'mana' - but I'm almost totally tapped out. I can use Dark Vision and Blink, but what I really need is Animal Possession and I just don't have enough juice to do that :ohno

I have the heart out more than anything else. It genuinely adds to depth of the story experience.

I love that mission :3:

EDIT: mother... fuck. I just played through the whole game using nothing but Blink (no other powers or enhancements) to get the 'Mostly Flesh and Steel' achievement, only to discover that upgrading Blink invalidates this achievement :cry

It does indeed. I guess after my bloody rampage play-through I will have to have another go at getting that one.

The end of that video was awesome. After brutally stabbing her in the next and turning her to ash, you down a glass of cider and a guard says "Careful sir - you look like the dangerous type."

Did anyone else ('Return to the Tower' mission spoilers) choose to speak to the Lord Regent before assassinating him? I was about to knife him from behind when dialogue button prompt button appeared. I got the option to remove my mask and reveal my identity to him before killing him... which I did :smug:

I still think that the Boyle mission is probably my favorite.

Starting playthrough #2. I think I'm going to be as much of a ghost as I possibly can, without even incapacitating guards unless I absolutely have to.
