They added a new $5000 Tier

This new tier allows you to build a fighting force of extraordinary magnitude to throw at the player.

If I had $5000 that I would not mind losing I so would make the Cult of the Dark Banana and add our little group of missfits to the game.

This is bad because it was my birthday the other day and I have £160 to spend and no games to spend it on. That would get me the $250 reward...

I think so. I may pledge enough to secure a copy on release. But spending all my bday cash on something I won't see for a while is a bit silly. I've already pledged about £90 to Wasteland 2 and thats an epic reward so I'm satisfied with that. It'd be awesome to splash out on it but I can resist. I'll put the money towards something bigger and better - maybe an iPad or telescope.

EDIT: There's only a couple of days left to back this game. They have almost $3 million pledged so far and the game is sounding like it will be great.

I decided against backing this project. Since pledging $100 to Wasteland 2 I feel the goodies I'm getting in that are more than enough without backing this - if my financial situation were better I'd have pledged but alas!

half a day to go... and if they raise $30.000 until the time ends they will work on the last stretch goal for 3.5 millions: add another BIG CITY.

EDIT: Ok 2 hours later and the 3.5 millions are achieved. Yeah!

Didn't quite make it on the Kickstarter donations, although as I understand if you count Paypal donations they comfortably cleared the $4M mark.

What I think is intresting here is that they made more money than the "Double Fine Adventure" project although they have around 10.000 less backers. In other words their pricing structure worked a lot better for them.

The whole paypal thing is a big joke to me since you can't monitor how much money went there since this part works outside of kickstarter. The Double Fine Adventure Project still gets theoreticly money via paypal.

The team are posting some interesting updates, as the development goes along. Some of it might be old hat to people who are already aware what each person involved in the creation of a game does, but it's new to me :)
