It had been too long. Even she didn’t know where all she had been. Wandering half awake for months across Yavin IV, leaving her mind in the subconscious connection to the force. She had spent a month in a force coma trying to reactivate her immune system after the tampering of Zannon. Even now, it was still not completely operational. A cybernetic implant around her throat assisted her weak system.

She had spent much of her time on Yavin IV after being left there by Zereth so long ago. It had not been the first time he had just left her somewhere, but she swore it would be the last. She would chase after him no more. He had made it very clear to her he did not wish for her to be around. She understood now.

Ashe had been weak, in body and in mind. After what Zannon had done, she was broken, falling to the dark side and letting it control her. She had allowed her jedi training to slip away from her. She had let the dark thoughts and emotions rule her mind. But, no longer.

Months spent in meditation on a moon with temples devoted to the darkside had taught her to block out its corruption. She accepted that she could no longer be a jedi. In truth, she did not know what to consider herself. She had been through so much and a part of her still wanted others to suffer like she had. But she pushed that part back. Denied it what it wanted and learned to control it.

There was only so much staying on that small moon could do for her, though. She needed to leave her solitary life and return to the galaxy. Would she ever see Him again? She doubted it. And if she did, she wouldn’t even know what to say. For now, she just pushed thoughts of Him out and focused on the task at hand.

Her ship needed little repairs. Nothing had happened to it. It had just sat there for however long she had been on this moon. How long had it been? She didn’t truly know. She did what she could to fix it up to be able to fly to a nearby, inhabited planet, where she could get someone who really know about ships to repair it

Days later, Ashe sat at the window to her hotel room on Mandalore, looking out at the small spaceport that she had flown to. A shop was doing diagnostics and repairs on her ship and said it would be ready in two more days time. That gave her some time to adjust to being around people again.

It had been so long since she had sentient interactions, she hardly knew how to even speak any more. As she looked out her window at the people on the streets, a fear welled up in her. She swallowed it down, trying to ignore it. She had not spoken to anyone outside of the port and the shop so far, and didn’t really want to either.

But, she knew she had to leave the hotel, at least to get food. She glanced once more out the window before checking her pouch to make sure she had what she would need. She pulled on her trench coat and hid her lightsaber inside of it before leaving the building.

It was a nice day outside. The sun was shining. Her violet eyes squinted a bit at the bright sun. Under the canopy of tall trees on Yavin IV, she did not have to worry much about the sun. But she continued walking down the street, keeping her head low, her dark red and black hair hanging around her face. She noticed no one other than just to stay out of their way, quiet and still alone, even if surrounded by all these people.
