Go Go Sector Rangers!

Hello, Jace here.

Internet withdrawl has pumped me full of inspiration that I cannot excrete in post form, and so a whole slew of new characters have popped into my head. This chap here is a Sector Ranger (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sector_Ranger). They're a federal agency with interplanetary jurisdiction, and a reputation for being badass and super-resourceful... they're Space Mounties, I guess.

I'm not entirely sure where to put him, though.

Sector Rangers are usually based in one Sector (Space Canada, stretching the analogy), and they pursue any criminals who commit a crime in their sector to the ends of the galaxy. It would make sense to put him in a sector that has a lot of traffic, to make it as likely as possible that Fans characters might have worked their way onto his hitlist. Greater Javin (ie. Cloud City) would make sense because of the Black Sun and smuggler activity; the Corellian Sector might also make sense, especially if any resistance fighting kicks off over there.

Am I missing any potential crime hotspots, or any loopholes that might let me have the whole galaxy as my Space Canada?

It'd be interesting to see them again entangled somehow with the criminal organisations they're supposed to be policing.

To be honest, I'd be more interested in playing a "proper" Sector Ranger myself; it's the canon concept rather than the Fans concept that appeals.

If others want to redo something akin to pre-reset though, that's their prerogative. :)

I vote Corellia. We don't do much stuff centered around there on Fans, and it'd be a nice thing to see.
