There doesn't seem to be an up-to-date list / consensus on what planets and sectors the Alliance actually has to it's name.
Here is my partial understanding of where we stand: I've noted whether the planet/sector is Represented or Unrepresented on the Advisory Council, and the fleet assigned to protect it, where appropriate.
I am aware this list is based on out-of-date info: please let me know in the posts below what needs to be added or changed.
We DO control...
Dac (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Dac) & Sector (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Calamari_sector) - This is our Capital and Seat of Government. It is also Fleet HQ, and home of the Mon Calamari Shipyards. It is Represented on the Alliance Advisory Council by Tukphen, and defended by the Second Fleet.
Bothawui (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Bothawui) & Sector (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Bothan_sector) - SpecForce HQ and Intelligence HQ. It is Represented on the Alliance Advisory Council by Torrsk Oruo'rel, and is defended by the Fifth Fleet.
Sullust (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sullust) - The HQ of the SoroSuub Corporation, and possibly Starfighter HQ. It is Represented on the Alliance Advisory Council by Niev Minetii, and defended by the Fourth Fleet.
Sluis Van (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sluis_Van) - This is a major Alliance shipyard. It is Represented on the Alliance Advisory Council by Sekaj L'vehl, and defended by the Fourth Fleet.
Colu System (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Clak%27dor_VII) - The location of Clak'dor IV (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Clak%27dor_IV) and Clak'dor VII (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Clak%27dor_VII). The system was under Alliance control, and was attacked during Operation: Shadow Strike (http://www.sw-fans.net/forum/showpost.php?p=358781&postcount=2). Clak'dor VII is the homeworld of the Bith. It is Unrepresented on the Alliance Advisory Council, and defended by the Fourth Fleet.
- The site of Alliance mining, refining, and surface-based starship construction. It is Unrepresented on the Alliance Advisory Council.
Chandrila (]Mustafar[/url) - Though the Sector is still under Imperial control, the planet Chandrila was successfully liberated; though the Empire continues to patrol the sector extensively, making Alliance operations in the area extremely difficult. The Chandrilan Resistance was one of the founding members of the Alliance, and so it is Represented on the Alliance Advisory Council by Kameis Sallian.
We DON'T control...
Alderaan (url=http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Alderaan) & Sector (starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Alderaan_sector) - Even with Alderaan destroyed, the sector is probably too populated and close to the Core to be viable Alliance territory. The Alderaanian Resistance was one of the founding members of the Alliance, and so it is Represented on the Alliance Advisory Council by Celeste Starborn.
Corellia (url=http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Corellia) & Sector (starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Corellian_sector) - Corellia is semi-independent from the Empire: it governs itself, but still pays taxes, etc. The Corellian Resistance was one of the founding members of the Alliance, and so it is Represented on the Alliance Advisory Council by Leadra Longstar.
Ithor (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Ithor) & Sector (starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Ottega_sector) - Shortly after the Battle of Yavin the planet was attacked by the Empire. However, the Rebel Alliance managed to evacuate a number of Ithorian refugees. These refugees are Represented on the Alliance Advisory Council by Ixgis Habas.
Bormea Sector (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Bormea_sector) - While Chandrila is considered an Alliance planet, the Empire still controls this Sector. Other locations in the Sector include Brentaal IV (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Brentaal_IV); and Corulag (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Corulag), where there is an Imperial Academy.
We MIGHT control...
Delaya (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Delaya) - The third planet in the Alderaan system. It survived the destruction of Alderaan, and is a modest industrial world with a population that includes Humans and Bothans. It might be a potential member world, or it could simply be a sympathetic place to gather supplies.
Brema Sector (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Brema_sector) - This is the sector containing Sullust. However there are a number of other inhabited worlds in the sector. Did the Alliance liberate the whole region, or just the Sullustan system?
Sluis Sector (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sluis_sector) - This is the sector containing Sluis Van. There are other noteworthy planets in this sector however, including Praesitlyn (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Praesitlyn) (an important Holonet hub), Denab (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Denab) (the site of a major pre-Yavin Rebel victory), Orto (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Orto) (the Ortolan (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Ortolan) homeworld), and Dagobah (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Dagobah). Did the Alliance liberate the whole region, or just the Sluis Van system?
- This is the sector containing Clak'dor (in the Colu system). Other noteworthy planets in the sector include H'nemthe (]Mayagil Sector[/url), Kabal (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Kabal), Öetrago (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/%C3%96etrago), , Virmeude (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Triton) (a Rebel base), and Xagobah (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Xagobah).
Roche Asteroids (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Roche_asteroids) - Home of the Verpine (starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Verpine) species. The B-Wing was developed at a base in the Roche Asteroids, and they were also used as a base for Dorn Force. Though the Verpines are a frequent ally of the Alliance and New Republic in EU and on Fans, they are Unrepresented on the Alliance Advisory Council.
Kashyyyk (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Kashyyyk) - I am unsure whether efforts to liberate Kashyyyk have been successful or not. It should be noted that Trandosha (starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Trandosha) is also in the Kashyyyk system, which is the Trandoshan (starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Trandoshan) homeworld: both Kashyyyk and Trandosha were members of the Alliance of Free Planets, immediately after Endor. There was a Jedi Temple (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Jedi_Temple_%28Alaris_Prime%29) on Alaris Prime (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Alaris_Prime), also in this system.
Dressel (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Dressel) - This planet is pretty close to the Bothan Sector. The planet was under Imperial occupation, but the native Dressellians (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Dressellian) were members of the Alliance and (in the EU), by the time Endor rolled around, Dressellia joined the Alliance of Free Planets.
We WILL control...
Duro (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Duro) - The liberation of this planet is currently being planned.
Onderon (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Onderon) & Sector (starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Japrael_sector) - This storyline is ongoing via Salem Ave.
Hapes Cluster (starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Hapes_Cluster) - This storyline is ongoing via Salem Ave.
Here is my partial understanding of where we stand: I've noted whether the planet/sector is Represented or Unrepresented on the Advisory Council, and the fleet assigned to protect it, where appropriate.
