The Witcher series one of those games that I actually think I'd really get into, since it seems to be low fantasy, but I've just never got around to playing. The Witcher 2 in particular has had a lot of praise. If you're a PC gamer, I'd recommend picking it up from GOG.com since they have an 'Enhanced Edition' with more gameplay and a bunch of other extras: http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/the_witcher_2
