Droo and I have been scheming something over the last few days, which begins with Beyond the Sword (http://sw-fans.net/forum/showthread.php?t=22540).
In Beyond the Sword, a young mutant was accidentally killed. This will lead to riots, a terrorist attack on London, and eventually to a politically-charged clampdown with curfews and martial law in Britain. Mutants would be unfairly oppressed, but a small group of young outlaw mutants would be out there: saving the country because it's the right thing to do, whether the Government wants them to or not. There's plenty of scope for other things to go on too, but this is the narrative thread we're working on at the moment.
More complicatedly put, we're trying to do X-Men: First Class with flavours of 1984 and Robin Hood, a dash of Superman and Captain America, with a liberal sprinkling of references to and inspiration from the political climate in Britain - and the world - today. (Don't worry, phrasing it that way confused the hell out of Droo, too)
Would you like to know more? If so, please AIM Jace or Droo, or post in here. :)
