Greatest thing I have ever witnessed. I gotta buy new 'Nucks undies, mine are wearing thin from all the use they've seen this season.

This is statistically to our advantage. Out of the four other President's Trophy consecutive winners (Calgary, Dallas, Detroit, Edmonton), three have won the Stanley Cup (Calgary, Dallas, Edmonton) on their 2nd President's Trophy.

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.;)

Here are my predictions...

First Round Matchups

1) NYR vs. 8) OTT - Rangers in a walk... 4 games
2) BOS vs. 7) WSH - Boston's just too much for Washington who had to use all their gas to get in. 4 games.
3) FLA vs. 6) NJ - This is an interesting one. Depends on Marty, but I see a 6 game upset for NJ.
4) PIT vs. 5) PHI - THIS is the series to watch... Bad blood between these two teams that really heated up at the end of the year... Could go 7, but I'm going to say PIT in 6, still don't trust PHI goal tending...

1) VAN vs. 8) LA - LA was playing well at the end of the year, but I think they've run out of gas too. Could surprise though... VAN in 5.
2) STL vs. 7) SJ - SJ is done... Their old, their slow, and they have to cheat to win... STL in 5.
3) PHX vs. 6) CHI - Not up to date on CHIs injuries. They were pretty banged up the last little while. I'm don't know these teams well enough to make a great prediction, so I'm going to say PHX in 6, but could easily be the other way.
4) NSH vs. 5) DET - Should be another great battle. NSH is the story this year, but DET is DET.... DET's goaltending will be their downfall I think. NSH in 7.

As for my Leafs... What a downfall the last half of the year. Doubtful but maybe as a conciliation prize we can win the draft lottery tonight...

Otherwise... Let's go Blue Jays!!!!

Ahahahahahaha.... They're hiding the sharp objects in Vancouver today...

My prediction is wrong, but I did say LA might surprise.

I am surprised with PIT though. I mean come on...

Ahahahahahaha.... They're hiding the sharp objects in Vancouver today...

Not really.

If they aren't going to win the cup I would rather watch them go out first round. I don't want that roller coaster play off stress. On the other hand if they rally like Boston did last year. I would be okay with that too. ;)

What really bothers me are the Canucks fans harping on Loungo like what happened in the last 2 games is his fault. He's been sharp. Goal tending is not the issue. I hate how fickle sports fans can be.

Tear I think you are the exception the rule of Vancouver fans.

I just like chirping Vancouver cause I get it from my family and friends out there about the Leafs all the time.

Actually haven't watched any of the games because I'm trying to wrap all my end of year projects up. So let me ask, if you've been watching, how much is it that they are missing Daniel on the top line?

I want to tell you that missing Daniel isn't a big deal and that missing one player doesn't seem to destabilize every line, but I can't.

Last night for example Henrik would go hard, push through defenders, work the puck down low, waiting for someone to get open for a pass but no one could. That one person who can always get open to make a play was usually Daniel.

Everyone's passing and movement just seem off by a little bit so it's easy to think getting Daniel pack would sync everything back up and it probably would. I don't see him coming back for the play offs though. Concussions take forever to heal and playoff hockey is dirty, hard hitting, hockey. Not something a player recovering from a concussion wants to put himself into. Especially when other players are going to be gunning for you for that exact reason.

Its rough. Part of me thinks if we kept Cody Hodgson our offense wouldn't be lacking the punch we so desperately need right now.

I am rooting for the Bruins and Preds. I lived in Nashville for a couple of years so it would be cool to see them win.
