Jenny is cooking up some activity on Cloud City (her plan sounds AWESOME, fyi), and it'd be a shame not to let that kindle things for some other Imperial activity too. Since Charley is the found of all ideas cool and awesome lately, I figured I would ape one of them and turn it into something more faction-appropriate. :uhoh

As briefly outlined in this post (http://www.sw-fans.net/forum/showthread.php?p=379669#post379669), Ceto has a vague mandate to truck around in the area of space surrounding Cloud City, and clean up some messes. There may be uprisings that need to be quashed, convoys that need escorting, pirates that need to be skirmished with, Rebel bases that need storming, and all manner of other Readiness / Blackiness missions along the way.

The Novgorod is an especially cool way of giving a lot of characters the chance to interact while also serving as a platform for Galactic Readiness missions... I was hoping we could do something similar, but on a more Imperial scale. Would anyone be interested in setting up some Imperial characters - pilots, soldiers, officers, other crew - on, say, Ceto's Star Destroyer or something?

Not only would it be a good springboard for missions, there'd also be the kind of interacting with other people stuff that Rogue Squadron & co. get on the Wheel, but that the Empire has been lacking to date... and it'd be easy to pull into port and hang out with the civilian types on Cloud City too!

I think I can cook up a Major or something for the Stormtrooper Corps. I don't know if I want to set up Tricerus again, unless Adelaide is still around to continue pulling him into her very complicated life. I'd still be somewhat loose on any real arcs for him to go through, so maybe Tricerus, but I could definitely make an Officer I'd been kicking around for a bit.

It'd be nice to play a non-Force using Imperial for a change, I think.

What? Us unsung *grumblegrumble*not pilot*grumble* Imps are needed?

Well...I'll have to check with the boss. You know. If he'll let me leave the lab. :D

If you guys are still interested in doing the ISB stuff, we could maybe ask the Baroness if we're allowed to set up CSI: Bespin? :ohno

This definitely sounds like a good idea. I'm in.

Count me in as well.

I have a few Imps kicking around. Luna is your usual stealth operative assassin type and then I have Damien, a junior inquisitor of project nightmare fame who is an accomplished pilot.

If a fighter squadron is needed I'm sure no one would object to Shadow Squadron being reassigned.

Shadow Squadron was assigned to Cloud City/nearby, when we set it up the first time. :p

just only a little bit of RPing was done there so no one remembers. :)

As I remember it, you were going to be assigned to a Star Destroyer in that area... but the person who commanded said Star Destroyer isn't about right now / anymore as far as I know.

If you'd rather be on a ship with more people than just you guys on your lonesome, you're more than welcome. :)

I think leaving it open for SS to be assigned where they're needed is better. That way we can be on your ship .. Or elsewhere if need be. Sound ok?

Whatever works best for you guys. *shrug*

You've got custom TIEs with Hyperdrives anyhow, right? Doing missions in other parts of the galaxy is easy enough to achieve if you do. Rogue Squadron does it all the time.

Or are you guys not quite in the same league? :mneh

If you need an Imp ship to be based out of, you can always use the Kalidor: http://sw-fans.net/wiki/index.php?title=Kalidor (mine and Sarah's baby :3)

Come see Sanya IC about that ;)

I did think about the Kalidor: my reservation is that it's too similar to the Novgorod. Both are small and not super-advanced, with a crew of people who aren't exactly "the finest in the fleet". The kind of missions it would open up wouldn't necessarily be much different from what the Novgorod is already doing... and since a lot of us have Nov characters anyway, variety might be nice. :)

That said, what if we rolled the Kalidor into the same unit type mini-fleet thing? That would give us the option to do some missions by Star Destroyer and some by Kalidor... maximise our options, and what-not? Kinda like the Bucket and the Beast, or sending people off on the Demetrius, or [insert Battlestar metaphor #3].

I am going to be looking after the Imperial side of The Vanguards (http://www.sw-fans.net/forum/showthread.php?t=22500), and could do with some ground people and pilot people as part of that.

If you have any other characters that you would like to be involved in the Star Destroyer crew type thing, they're more than welcome as well: just hit me up on AIM or send me a PM, and I can clue you in on some more of the details.
