I realise that Dorn Force dispersed a bit, but bearing in mind Charley's suggestion (http://www.sw-fans.net/forum/showthread.php?t=22367), would anyone be up for some GM'd style SpecForce missions?

Perhaps we could use Dorn Force (or some other made-up unit) as a way to group together more of our SpecForce and SpecOps people, so we can get a little more cross-pollination and interplay both on and off mission? Sorta like the SpecForce version of being on the Wheel.

I had a chat with Jenny earlier; her SpecOps person brings us to five.

I don't want to leave things kicking around in the planning stages for too long, so I'll try and get us started off fairly soon. In the meantime, does anyone else want in on this particular outing... or does anyone (Charley?) fancy playing the opposition?

I've started the thread hither (http://www.sw-fans.net/forum/showthread.php?t=22381). The plan is Charley's, so I'll just be along for the ride.

Participating at the meeting we have General Torrsk Oruo'rel, Colonel Regulus Starborn, <s>Commander</s> Captain Cirrsseeto Raurrssatta (presumably?), and the mission team; the mission team consists of Major John Glayde, Agent Maren Dirge, Captain Mara Tallen, Serasai Onashi, and Lilaena De'Ville.

You naval types are all so kriffing twitchy about your fancy titles and your over-complicated ranks, aren't you? I have my suspicions that it's all a conspiracy - a way to placate those who wake up in the morning and realise the terrible mistake they've made with their lives by accidentally joining the Navy.

I think Charley has some input from our enemy forces for us next: after that we'll get ourselves landed on the planet, and will get straight on with the taking ass and kicking names.

For some reason I thought that the shuttle would be put aboard the Novgorod and then Cirr would fly us to a drop off point and then we'd shuttle down from there. Since his ship is supposed to be close enough for back up. :p

But we left without him! Or did we?

It's intentionally vague. We can have flown into orbit and landed on Cirr's ship, or we could have flown there solo (since there's not much space to land things on the Novgorod) with him alongside / following / whatever.

The Novgorod is pretty damn fast, so it shouldn't be too hard for them to keep up, or what have you. :)

Maren is climbing through the air vents solo, so she can unlock the door and let the rest of the team in.

Then Maren, Mara, and LDV will split off from the group to take out the early warning sensor stuff, and as many secondary targets (surface-to-air missiles, turrets, comms, etc) as they can find.
