I figured this needed it's own thread. I bought two Star Wars fanzines off of eBay over ten years ago. One is from 1986 (that's the date I found on the artwork inside, there is no date in print that I can find... still looking though!) with fan fiction from the early '80s, and is 238 pages long. The other is from 1999, and is 249 pages long!

I have not read these stories, except for the first one in the older collection. :uhoh (I will try scanning later but for now enjoy these pictures I snapped with my phone.)

Catalyst Collected 1 ('80s)
Jeanine Hennig, artwork by Dani Lane, Mary Jean Holmes, and Jenni
(Jeanine is the sole author, I think!)

The front cover of Wookiee Rendezvous is impressive artwork, but inside...?

...it's a little rougher. I think this is Luke!

Doing a little Internet Detective work leads me to this http://fanlore.org/wiki/Jeanine_Hennig about Ms. Jennig of the Catalyst book.

Jeanine Hennig was a fan writer and poet in Star Wars fandom, and edited one of the early Star Wars zines, Far Realms. She also edited Shooting Star and a collection of her stories titled Catalyst. She was a Fan Quality Award winning editor and writer in Star Wars and Robin of Sherwood fandom.
The 1999 'zine has an entry too: http://fanlore.org/wiki/Wookiee_Rendezvous ... http://www.angelfire.com/ca2/wr/index.html It has it's own angelfire site, beware of pop-ups!

Also, you can buy your very own copy, on eBay again! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Star-Wars-Fanzine-Wookiee-Rendezvous-/130535705043

This fanlore.org site is intriguing me greatly.

Oh my goodness, this brings back such memories...I'm not familiar with these particular fanzines that you've posted, but I was fairly heavily involved in the fanzine world back in the 80's and recognize many of the names in the pictures. I had quite a few pieces printed, actually. O_o

You did? Pretty awesome :) Maybe you're on the fan lore site!

We should publish a sw-fans fanzine. :D
