I cannot describe how much I want to see this movie having just read the novel. The crew/cast looks phenomenal, especially Salander, Berger and some of the other characters.

Have you seen the original Swedish film adaptation?

I haven't seen it myself but I have heard that it is very good! And I guess if you enjoyed the book, you should enjoy that version too :)

I hear this is one of those rare cases where the remake is not only better than the original, but better than the book.

I watched the Swedish movie, and while it was decent, I think Fincher's version is going to be considerably better, so if you don't want to be spoiled with the story (which is identical), then you should consider watching Fincher's version first.
