Just in case anyone cared! Suggest a cool game to me!
We have NBA 2K12 (or whatever it's called lol), Little Big Planet 2, and Little Big Planet, Infamous, and Uncharted on loan from my brother-in-law. I still need to set up an account for the online stuff.
I plan to bust out LBP today some time!

I've heard Heavy Rain is good

Sports Games: Fifa 12 - Awesome game, though likely more enjoyable as a multiplayer game with friends than the career mode. I haven't played career, but then, I wasn't interested in it for the career mode.
RPGs: L.A. Noire, but it can have material unsuitable for kids. SKYRIM. Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Maybe Dragon Age and Dragon Age 2.
I don't know if you or the husband would play FPSes. I don't think I really need to say the two most obvious choices for that category.
There's a bunch of puzzle games and such to be found in the Play-Station store.
I've only heard good things about Heavy Rain, but haven't played it myself.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 is hella-fun. Nothing like kickin bad-guy ass with a team comprised of Iron Man, Spidey, Wolverine and the Human Torch. Other than that, all my recommendations are more mature and unsuitable/difficult for kids. Namely Dark Souls which will punish you!

Other than Heavy Rain, you should consider these games:
Batman Arkham City (get this!)
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
God of War 3
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (get this!)
Portal 2
Red Dead Redemption (get this!)
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
The Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception (but you already have this)

Get New Vegas. Play it when your kids are in a completely different zip code.

Which would be... never. lol!
The Marvel Ultimate Alliance game sounds awesome. :)
edit: We also have Ratchet and Crank: All 4 One, which Ty is playing right now. It's cool because we have a 3D TV so we can play it in 3D! And also it's kid friendly!

Get Heavy Rain and a move controller. This game is like a movie and it really messes with your head. You probably should not play the game while being pregnant and this game might make you scared of taking your child to the mall or a play ground...
Hm having in mind that you have small children and since this game revolves around kidnapping and how far you would go to save your children, this trip might be more intense for you and your husband.
Although it is a single player game I highly recommend it to play it with a friend or spouse since the choices you or others make in this game can be pretty scary.
There is especially one scene where I had to do something from which I couldn't do but I knew it was important for saving my child so I took the controller put it in my friends hand and said: "I can't do that. You have to do it!"
Once you are invested like this into a game you know that it is special.

Oh man, that sounds intense. And you obviously have no kids of your own because you'd just do whatever heinous act that was if it meant saving your kid. Or maybe that's just me. ;)
I think Skyrim is a distinct possibility of becoming ours. Ty already alsmost bought it.

I guess now you have to play this game just to find out if you would truely abandon all your morals and fears.

Yeah after I posted that then I doubted myself, lol.
Played Little Big Planet - just the first level. Fun so far! Owen is always trying to give me 'helpful' tips.
Edit: my PS name is Lilaena - add me as a friend!
