I'm looking forward to seeing how Henry Cavill (who will be playing the new Superman) does in his first big leading role.

If you've seen The Cell or The Fall, then you know you're in for a hell of a visual treat with this movie. Tarsem Singh (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0802248/) is pretty unique as a director. He's also doing the Snow White movie with Julia Roberts as the evil queen - I can't wait. :D

I'm actually not sure if this movie is related to 300 at all - does it share producers or...?

Yep, it's the same producers - and you're right, it does look really visually interesting.

Honestly this movie looks ugly as hell!

You don't think it has the same visual style / colour palette as 300?

It kinda does, but I'm a sucker for classics so I'll see it even if it's a turd.

No it's noticeably hokier.

There was an extended preview of this in front of Drive which I went and saw last night.

The visual style of the movie is very much 300, but Charley's right in saying the colours are much different.

As for the movie itself, it looks menh to be honest, but could be wrong. A lot of the preview was more about showing off cool looking scenes and not so much about the story other than trying to stop the Titan's from being freed.

I don't like the costumes, the background and the props. It all looks so cheap IMHO.

Ho-hum to me, which is unfortunate because I loved Henry Cavill in The Tudors and want to see him succeed with this and Man of Steel.

Admittedly I'm biased because a love the old Greek epics and am getting royally ticked off at how badly Hollywood is butchering them. :grumble (for those who don't know, Theseus (Cavill's character) was the legendary founder-hero of Athens, and fought the Minotaur (amongst other things)).

^ I'm with you about Cavill, Atreyu. I love him as an actor and after he was passed over for James Bond and a few other roles, I really hope he succeeds and gets the appreciation he deserves :)
