Oh hey, the world is supposed to end today. Harold Kamping said so. Again. That five months since Judgement Day last May sure went by fast.

Deuteronomy 18:22 "when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him."

People should have stopped listening to that guy the first time he was wrong ages ago. :p

It was a pretty shitty day for me, but not the end of the world.

Probably he'll do what he did last time - he'll say that the world really did end, and we just lack the spiritual gumption to realize it.

Not sure how he'll explain the fact that he's stuck with us in a defunct world, though.

Very, very true.

Unfortunately this time lacks the charm of last May, since the media blitz (painted vans, billboards, etc) were all over the place. This time around it's a sad shadow of what once was, and the laughs from May will never be equaled :(

On the other hand, at least Salty Nerd is still a go! ;)

As s'Il pointed out, it's kind of arrived (and passed) with a fizzle compared to May. Seems as though everyone had already moved on.

Camping's congregation has dwindled to barely 25 people (http://www.news24.com/World/News/Judgment-Day-doesnt-dawn-20111021)

At least we know the world will definitely end next year, right?

Right? :uhoh

Sure that is why next year's trip should be called Apocalypse Nerd!

We could all wear shirts that say on the front:

"zombie apocalypse
survival coach"

And on the back:

" =>
I will be using
this person as bait first"

I need to find an excuse to use the term 'Jaypocalypse' before the world ends.

Possibly in a "Look out ladies, here comes the -" context.

Wikipedia says:

Jaypocalypse (Greek: Jἀyποκάλυψις)- JP. is your highway to salvation since even the end of the world is better with Jace.

Does the article say anything about the Four Horsemen of the Jaypocalpse?

And do they drive around in bitchin' muscle cars, Supernatural style? :ohno

It says a lot about what happens to Jace if he asks too many questions ;)

I wonder if one of Harold's ancestors misheard Paul Revere as saying "The End is Coming" instead of "The British are Coming?". :\

Harold Camping on elusive rapture: 'Embarrassing' (http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2011/11/01/BA8U1LP4J5.DTL)

Or at least, it 'seems' embarassing for his radio station. |I

But don't worry folks - he's now studying the Bible harder than ever. :rolleyes
