Is it me, or are there more lopsided matchups this week than usual? Maybe it's because the NFC West and AFC West are all playing out-of-division games.

Sun, Oct 2
DET WIN @ DAL - Yes, I'm picking against Romo at home again. It's nothing personal, but the Redskins didn't have Megatron and Ndamukong.
SF @ PHI WIN - The NFC West is the new bye week.
MIN WIN @ KC - Blow ALL the first half leads? :C
WAS WIN @ STL - I may not pick an NFC West team to win any out-of-division games this year.
NO WIN @ JAX - This should be routine for Brees and co.
TEN @ CLE WIN - Where the heck has Chris Johnson been?
PIT WIN @ HOU - A gut check for both teams. The Steelers need to prove they haven't lost their identity, while the Texans need to prove they can compete with the big bullies of the NFL.
BUF WIN @ CIN - The Bengals have not beaten the Bills since the 1988 AFC Championship Game.
CAR @ CHI WIN - Chicago bounces back from a tough divisional loss.

ATL WIN @ SEA - So does Atlanta.
NYG WIN @ ARI - I actually could see the Giants blowing this one, but it'll take some work.
DEN @ GB WIN - I don't know who the Broncos are this year, and neither do they.
MIA @ SD WIN - If the Chargers hadn't already struggled against the Chiefs, I might pick them to overlook the Dolphins.
NE WIN @ OAK - Belichick will take hemlock if they lose this one.
NYJ WIN @ BAL - I consider this an upset pick. The Ravens have had bad experiences with Santonio Holmes before...

Mon Oct 3
IND @ TB WIN - The Colts' D played with their hair on fire against the Steelers, but I don't see them repeating that kind of effort in Tampa.

Survivor Pick: Falcons

DET @ DAL - Detroit looks pretty good. Also MEGATRON.
SF @ PHI - The NFC West is the new bye week, but Philly has been terrible.
MIN @ KC - dammit Vikings, just let AP run.
WAS @ STL - STL wasn't good to start with and they are beat up.
NO @ JAX - A bajillion points for my fantasy team? I hope so!
TEN @ CLE - Where the heck has Chris Johnson been? Hasslebeck takes apart the Browns secondary.
PIT @ HOU - Dice roll.
BUF @ CIN - Hahahah Fitzy go!
CAR @ CHI - Cam finds that winning feels pretty good and tries to do it again. I don't think it works! (I am wrong)

ATL @ SEA - The Seahawks are Real Bad.
NYG @ ARI - Should be this way, but its the NFL, who knows.
DEN @ GB - Green Bay has issues but so far the offense has been good enough for it to not matter.
MIA @ SD WIN - The Charger survive their Specter of September with two wins against dreadful teams. Unless Sparano wakes up and decides to you know, do things like not run Reggie Bush up the middle, this is hopeless. Doubly so with all the conditioning injuries on the defense. The Dolphins might be the dumbest team in the NFL.
NE @ OAK - Oakland already lost to da Bills in a track meet, and as bad as NE's defense has been, they've been ok against the run.
NYJ @ BAL -Baltimore has been inconsistent but I think they can beat the Jets. Maybe. With Mangold out the Jets o-line hasn't been so good.

Mon Oct 3
IND @ TB - They're waiting for you Mr. Freeman, in the End Zone.

It's all business Smacksterama, nothing personal :D

It's also come to my attention that there mu
Ight be some concussion with my pick between SEA and ATL as I only typed birds. The birds I'm picking are the ones from the south not the northwest aka Falcons

Kyran O'Hurn

It's early, but if Pitt doesn't figure out their O-line soon they are going to be in serious trouble this year.

Edit: The Texans are going to start looking like swiss cheese the way they keep shooting themselves in the foot with penalties.

9ers and Lions both come back to win their games. Lion's are 4-0... who would have thunk that.

Buffalo I am dissapoint. Also MN is dumb.

Jedi Master Carr

The Lions are the biggest surprise of the year. I was glad the Chiefs finally won a game. They get the colts next week, so they might be able to salvage their season. The Eagles are a huge disappointment so far. Where is this so called dream team?

It's a good thing you clarified - I was going to put you down for the Rice Owls. :mneh

So apparently the NFC West read my comments? The 9ers won, the Seahawks took the Falcons to the wire, and the Cardinals are driving on the Giants in the waning seconds... Wow, my score's going to be horrible today.

Incidentally, the refs really saved the Giants' bacon. During their final drive, Victor Cruz caught a pass over the middle and stumbled to the ground without being touched. He then got up and left the ball on the ground, and the Cardinals pounced on it. The refs blew the whistle and signaled Giants first down, and when Ken Whisenhunt challenged it, he was told that Cruz gave himself up by going to the ground. It's a judgment call, so it can't be challenged, but it was pretty obviously the refs covering themselves for having missed the call in the first place.

On the very next play, Manning hit Manningham for the go-ahead touchdown.

It's like Buffalo said "Wait a minute, we're not supposed to be this good" and sat down again. My other missed pick was one I'd tagged as a close game, as indeed the score indicates.

12-2 on the early and mid games. And my Seppuku streak is still alive!

DET - ALL HAIL MEGATRON.
SF - Eagles you look awful.
MIN @ KC - dammit Vikings, just let AP run.
WAS - STL wasn't good to start with and they are beat up.
NO - A bajillion points did not come, but a good day.
TEN - Hasslebeck takes apart the Browns secondary.
HOU - Dice roll gets results!
BUF @ CIN - no Bills no =[
CHI - Da Bears.
7/9

ATL - The Seahawks are Real Bad, but apparently ATL is garbage on the road.
NYG - Not enough randomness in this week for the Giants to lose to the Cards.
GB - Aaron Rodgers, butcher of secondaries.
SD - Dolphins are DUMB, also, without their starting QB to finish the game and new weapon Daniel Thomas. Utterly hopeless.
NE - Brady does bidness.
5/5
