NO - this game is gonna be fun, but I don't think Houston can stop Ingram. Miami showed that Houston is terrible against the power run.
PHI
CAR - Carolina has surprised the bejesus out of me. Cam lights it up again, but this time for a win.
NE - should be exciting
CLE -watch the Phins win this one to spite me. Stupid Phins.
SF
TEN -Tennessee beat the Ravens.
DET - Rolls over the Vikings.

BAL - Beats up on STL for that loss against Tenn.
NYJ - the Jets are better than Oakland.
SD - LOL KC.
ARI - Seattle might be the worst team in the league with Kansas City and Indy.
ATL - Tampa could take it but Atlanta has a good defense.
GB - Chicago was exposed against New Orleans and GB is better than NO.
PIT - LOL Indy

Mon, Sep 26
WAS - Romo has a punctured lung, holy crap.

HOU @ NO WIN
NYG @ PHI WIN
JAX @ CAR WIN - A weak Jaguars team at home is as good an opportunity as any for Newton to snag his first NFL victory.
NE WIN @ BUF
MIA WIN @ CLE - Peyton Hillis is out with strep throat. Good thing the Browns have a great passing game ha ha wait no.
SF WIN @ CIN - I figured this was a tossup until I heard about Cedric Benson's suspension. Probably still a tossup, but eh.
DEN @ TEN WIN - Hasselbeck torched the Ravens last week; this week Chris Johnson will find big holes in a porous Denver run defense.
DET WIN @ MIN

BAL WIN @ STL - Like the Steelers last week, the Ravens have the opportunity to salve a bad loss with a rout against an inferior NFC West team.
NYJ WIN @ OAK
KC @ SD WIN - It's hard to imagine a rougher way to star the season than the way the Chiefs have done it.
ARI WIN @ SEA
ATL WIN @ TB
GB WIN @ CHI
PIT WIN @ IND - The Colts are step two of the Steelers' 2011 rehabilitation program.

Brady with 4 INT in one game after throwing only 2 in.. 400+ attempts? *waves Bills banner*

Dragon
Sep 25th, 2011, 02:23:01 PM
Good grief, as the Bills run down the clock for the winning field goal, every second thing Phil Simms says here is, "The Bills could fumble here and let the Patriots back into the game!" You know, as a broadcaster, you really should be at least trying to pretend you're not rooting for the Patriots...

What an accomplishment by the Bills! Their new uniforms have given them some serious mojo.

Also, by a show of hands, who here is surprised that the Vikings blew another big first-half lead? Yeah, me neither.

WOW!!! Matt Stafford was taking intense pressure up the middle from a defensive tackle who flat out ran over his guard, and, while backpedaling, launched a perfect spiral pass to Calvin Johnson, who went up above a defender and made a diving fingertip grab to set the Lions up for the winning field goal in overtime! Holy crap, that was one of the most amazing passes I ever have seen!

Lions and Bills at 3-0. ..Something is not right about that. It's awesome. I figured the Bills would keep it close but 4 turnovers yeesh.

It's awesome.

Can someone tell me what the hell is wrong with the Dirty Birds?

C'mon TB, you're supposed to be a 2nd half team, stop ATL's comeback. That OAK FG probably seals it against the Jet's comeback attempt.

EDIT: That's better. And I knew SEA had it in them.

NO - Sproles tore it up. Great shootout.
PHI - wtf Philly.
CAR -Turned out to be a monsoon but Carolina won anyway.
NE - HAHAHAHAHAHAH I'm fine with this.
CLE - Stupid Phins. I hope Sporano and Ireland lose their jobs. You suck.
SF
TEN -Tennessee beat the Ravens.
DET - Last minute clutch catch in overtime. HAIL LORD MEGATRON
6/8

BAL - Beats up on STL for that loss against Tenn. And this is what happened.
NYJ - J E T S SUCK SUCK SUCK
SD - LOL SD.
ARI - Both these teams are baaaaaaaad.
ATL - Tampa took it.
GB - Jay Cutler must be singing, "if only I had a line... and my receivers had hands."
PIT- Indy really was built around Manning. Never before has it been more obvious. The Steelers have issues though.
WAS- Dallas keeps making me the fool with this last minute comeback crap. Soon as I pick them watch me be wrong.

4/8

10/16

8-6 for the starting and middle games. If DAL can pull it off, and IND doesn't suddenly wake up, then I should be able to finish same as last week.

I knew if I picked against the Packers they'd win in Chicago. I hate watching them play the Bears because it's always turns into a sloppy mess (it was today again on many levels). A win is a win though.

I was right about Oakland over the Jets. Too bad I missed on just about everything else.

I had to work today, so I missed most of the action. I can't even begin to tell you, though, how shocked I was when I found out that the Bills beat the Patriots. Boy howdy!!! :eee

I think what impressed me the most about the Bills was their resolve when they got down 21-0 early. They didn't panic, they made plays on offense in pressure situations and they made Brady look pedestrian with the 4 INTs. I'm not saying they'll win the AFC East or anything, but they're going to cause a lot of problems around the AFC, and if things fall their way, they might have a shot at a wild card berth if they continue to play smart football.

Wowwwwwwww...

I think I need a Zantac after that one. Huge props to the Colts defense. I knew Freeney and Mathis were good, and they absolutely terrorized the Steelers' tackles. But I was blown away by the speed of the linebackers to the hole whenever Roethlisberger handed off the ball. The Steelers' run offense was putrid against that front seven, and it forced Ben to expose himself to that pass rush far too often. Meanwhile, the Steelers offensive linemen were dropping like flies. Rookie tackle Marcus Gilbert had to come back in for Jonathan Scott on the last drive after being pulled out with a shoulder injury.

Fortunately for the Steelers, they made just enough plays to keep themselves in the game despite their mistakes and despite some inspired play by the Colts defense. But they have to feel like they dodged a bullet. The Steelers absolutely need to find some stability at offensive line. They made it to the Super Bowl last year with an ever-changing cast in front of Ben, but they were still able to generate a respectable rushing attack. As good as Ben and these young receivers are, they do not have the pass protection to turn into the Patriots, Packers, or Saints. It's hard to say what the Steelers' identity is going to be this season. Fortunately, there's still a lot of the season left to play.

The other good news is that Big Ben is a giant and more durable than the vast majority of QBs. I say that he's probably the only QB that could survive behind, say, Chicago's O line.

Dallas winning with a lung punctured rib cage fractured Romo :smug:

And a center who served up four bad snaps and young receivers who didn't know the routes. I feel that by virtue of being the Dallas quarterback Romo has generally gotten more attention from the press than any player deserves, both good and bad, but his performance last night truly was amazing and fully deserving of the superlatives the Monday Night crew heaped on him.

Okay, let's take a look at the week's tally:

I think Park deserves special honors if he can keep this streak going. ;)

Actually, picking a loser every week may be even harder than picking a winner every week, because if you're picking winners, you can pick against a couple bad teams week after week.

As always, let me know if I screwed up!
