Shatner is being kind of stupid. Not sure what he means about the Special effects changing the actors. Maybe the prequels, but the OT was mostly makeup and costumes. And Darth Vader trumps everything in Star Trek (character wise). Of course that is Shatner talking out of his ass. I am sure he would say his movies and show was better than Next Generation.
