[Aduba III]

This was about as far away from the center of the galaxy as any place in the galaxy. Aduba III orbited a star at the far eastern edge of the Outer Rim Territory. It was a desert planet that was nominally ran by the Empire, but it was more under the control of the Hutts. As such, it was very corrupt and law enforcement usually turned a blind eye to th goings on.

Just the place for Aura to set down and get her ship fixed. Passing through the system, a micrometeor nailed the starboard engine, causing it to go critical. Aura had to shut it down and then requested a bay at the only spaceport on the planet.

After paying a bribe that was called a "processing fee", she landed the Vigor at Bay 17. As she went through the shut down process, she stretch out with the Force to sense anything. It was weird, trying to use the Force. She had been partially trained, but it was always sporadic. Still, Master Claron had taught her how to sense danger. She touched the minds of those nearest her bay and then immediately pulled back. A cold shiver ran through her body. There was alot of ill will and evil intentions on this planet, but right now, none of it seemed to be directed at her.

Getting up, she tucked her blaster into its holster and then hid her lightsaber in a special sheath on her right arm. Her cloak hid it, but was loose enough to not get in the way of it shooting out into her hand.

She pushed the button, letting down the ramp and waited for a moment has her R5 unit, "Fiver" rolled out to the back of the ship. She followed, carefully watching both the doorway and the freight delivery door to make sure nothing was there. She waited patiently while the droid scanned the damage. When he was done, he blatted the findings at her. She held her datapad as it translated his reply.

**Little Lady, it seems to me that you honked a power coupling in the engine startup and damagedit. The relays going to that coupling were severed and pretty much on their way to hell right now. They would have to be replaced.**

"That's better than I thought it would have been worse. At least it can be salvaged."

Aura looked at the door leading out into the space port wistfully. She had wanted to just stay in the bay and fix it but now, she'd have to get the parts to fix the engine and replace the relays.

Luckily she had Fiver with her. Before being given to her as a parting gift from the colonists, Fiver had been one of the main repair droids. As such, he basically knew every type of machine or vehicle and had the specs downloaded into his memory. Because of his knowledge, he was not permitted to be given a memory wipe. As such, he had developed a personality that was amusing in its quirks.

"You stay here, I'll get the parts and then you can help me do the repairs."

Fiver blatted at her, and she smiled at him.

"Fine, I'll get the parts and then help you do the repairs." Fiver keened approvingly and then rolled back to the ramp. He made his way up the ramp. From past experience, Aura knew that he was going to plug into the ships systems and commence a diagnostic and take control of the ship. At a moment's notice, she could call him and he would bring the ship in. While he wasn't able to kill anything, he could still aim the weapons and fire at open spaces to give her cover.

On the datapad, a list of required parts scrolled across the screen. Checking her money belt, Aura saw that she would have just enough to get her parts. Sighing, she set out on her journey, quickly opening the door from the bay to the street and slipping out. Sealing it, she joined the stream of beings, but keeping at the edge. She began to scan the shops that lined the other side of the street, looking for junk shops and ship parts stores.

Aduba III’s small Imperial Garrison had a supply shipment inbound. It was mostly foodstuffs, medical supplies and small arms: a very appealing target for the ever in need rebellion. This remote garrison was lightly guarded compared to the core and mid-rim worlds. Ever antsy, Adia volunteered to head a supply mission, hopefully with minimal casualties.

Inside the Nebulon-B Frigate Storms of Kamino, Adia welcomed several newer recruits, for whom this would be their first sortie. Although lacking a conventional Rebel Army uniform, she had affixed the Colonel’s rank to her jacket, as agreed upon by Rebel command. If they weren’t a General or a Commodore, Adia could pull rank, which was nice. She watched the recruits file into the briefing room, borrowed from the Storms’ defense squadron, a mix of X-Wings and Z-95s. With very few exceptions, every Imperial in the military received the same basic instruction and training. This wasn’t the case in the Rebellion. It was obvious that this wasn’t the case, but she had been assured that everyone present had qualified with an available blaster rifle and pistol. It was a small comfort. She could see this mostly younger group was green. At least it wasn’t a mid-rim raid. She waited for everyone to be seated, and began.

“I’m Colonel Kadia Iya, and I’ve been told this will be, for many of you, your first operation. This about as ideal as they come.” Adia stated, and turned on the holoprojector.

“This is Aduba Three. It is a lightly garrisoned far Outer Rim world, which is why almost all of you are giving me blank looks.” A small chuckle rounded out from the crowd.

“Thanks to our intelligence network, we know their quarterly supply shipment is due to arrive in a day. Our job will be to intercept this shipment during unloading, and make sure it does not reach the garrison built just outside the spaceport. Instead, we’ll be taking those supplies home with us. While Imperial rations aren’t a dinner in the Manarai Mountains, they beat eating boot leather.”

Adia advanced the projector. A detailed, recent holo image of the spaceport came into view, and then zoomed into the reserved Imperial landing bays.

“We’ll be divided into two teams. I’ve been told some of you have experience operating heavy equipment, and you’ll be on the transfer team. The rest of team will be tasked with downing the opposition and taking the Imperial transport. Once this is done, we’ll need to hold the area until the transfer team can re-load the transport. We’ll want to do this as quickly as possible. Ideally, we can take the area with minimal violence. As always, keeping civilian causalities down is a high priority. Our goal is to get the supplies and leave, hopefully with a new ship.” Adia paused, and added a diagram. A new ship was added, an Action IV.

“In the event that we cannot take control of the supply ship, our goal will be to capture the cargo, and load it into this Action Four. This makes it much more of a smash and grab. We’ll take whatever we can before the garrison is under full alert and leave. We’ll meet with our transport tomorrow at 0700. Your Lieutenant will be able to provide further details about your individual assignments. Dismissed.”

0947: Aduba III: Tun Aduban Space Port

"Allright crew, shore leave!" Adia yelled as the cargo doors opened, and the rag-tag group of spacers descended upon Tun Aduban like a pack of hounds. The plan was to be a group of freighter dogs until the Storms of Kamino's CAP spotted the Imperial Transport, which was due ground side at 1100.
