So, the next Pixar film (not counting Cars 2) is something called Brave. I confess I've heard very little, but this link (http://www.themarysue.com/brave-character-art/) has me excited already. It's got some character art, the first teaser poster, and helpfully informed us all that the trailer is running in front of Cars 2!

Random fact: Brave is the first Pixar movie to feature a female protagonist. :)

Yeah, I'm in the same boat as you, Charley, and while I generally like Pixar productions I can't say I understand the amount of gush people are spewing over this trailer: it's a little girl shooting an arrow at a big bear.

The look and design of the movie, as shown in the teaser, is very beautiful. I can't judge it on story or theme yet, but so far I like what I see. What's hard to understand about that?

I was referring to the torrent of praise and unadulterated adulation spewed all over YouTube, and that I don't get it because, well, the trailer tells us pretty much nothing other than that there's a miniature ginge who shoots arrows at bears in Scotland.

Mainly because people have been blowing up my Facebook feed with glee over this, and with what we've been given so far, it's a skittles commercial with a bigger budget. I'm certain it will be just fine, it's just not really anything as of yet
