I submit that next year we all go to Wasteland Weekend in Southern California:

Three days, costumes required, Bartertown, Firedancers, DJ's, and pure awesome wait for us out in the desert. We've got an option to start our own 'tribe', and themed campsites are encouraged (though not required).
Explore the site, and definitely check out the photos. There's a lot there, and the sample of wasteland radio is just awesome. This year it's in California City, and I think it's a good bet it will be there again next year.
I'm already brainstorming my costume and how the campsite could be set up ^_^;
I'm marking my calender for next year. Are you?
