Age: Unknown (could be over 100 years old)
Powers: Unknown, though unsubstantiated reports suggest electrokinesis and teleportation. Given his presumed age, it has been theorised that Hurucan either ages at a slower rate, or that multiple individuals have used the alias over the course of several decades.
Current Situation: There has been a political extremist named Hurucan linked to various mutant rights and metahuman supremacy movements in locations across Europe and America, from as early as the mid-twentieth century. Capable of evading or escaping capture with alarming ease, Hurucan remains largely an enigma. Acts of mutant crime and terrorism fitting Hurucan's MO have recently been committed in London, Paris, New York, and Los Angeles: Hurucan's current location is unknown.

[Tom Harriman]

Name: Thomas J. Harriman
Age: 31 (as of June 2009)
Powers: Tom has the ability to make objects accelerate away from him. He is able to make objects fly out of his hands at high speeds, add extra force to punches and other martial arts moves, and can push with more force than his strength would normally allow (but not pull). He has also used his ability to deflect objects coming towards him, including bullets: but the faster an object is travelling, the harder it is to deflect. He is also able to affect things over longer distances by pushing air molecules at them, in a concentrated burst of "wind".
Current Situation: Tom was previously employed as a teacher at Steve Rogers High School. After he registered as a mutant however, the school board elected not to renew his contract. Harriman is currently unemployed, and living in LA.

[Kat Harriman]

Name: Katrina L. Harriman
Age: 21 (as of June 2009)
Powers: Kat has the ability to make the molecules in any object she touches vibrate, generating heat. She is able to cause contact burns to a person she touches, cause combustion of flammable materials, and cook home-made popcorn in the palm of her hand.
Current Situation: Kat is the youngest sibling and younger sister of Tom Harriman. She usually resides in London, UK, but has been pestering her brother incessantly to be allowed to come and visit him in Los Angeles.

[Jace Harriman]

Name: Jason A. Harriman
Age: 33 (as of June 2009)
Powers: Jace has the ability to make objects accelerate towards him: the exact opposite of his brother's ability. Whether this is a telekinetic effect, or a localised gravity effect is unclear.
Current Situation: Jace is the elder brother of Tom and Kat Harriman, and the youngest child of Walt Harriman. He goes to a great deal of effort to hide his mutant nature, feeling that it would compromise his hard-earned career if it were ever made public. He is currently employed as a high-earning Crown Prosecutor for the British government.

Powers: Walt posesses superhuman accuracy. Whether with a gun, thrown object, or other weapon, he never misses. This is because his brain processes visual information at a higher framerate: he can percieve changes in movement almost instantly, granting him extremely swift reflexes.
Current Situation: During the Cold War, Walter was an agent of Military Intelligence Section 13 (MI-13), and part of a top-secret task force codenamed Damocles. He left the military almost twenty years ago, but was recently reactivated when a mutant encountered by Damocles - Hurucan - was found to be active in Britain once again.

Power: Nathan posesses the ability to transform his entire molecular structure into water. When in this form, he is able to control additional volumes water by merging with them. By use of this hydromorphosis, he is also able to repair minor wounds and injuries to himself.

Power: Zack has the ability to morph into any non-human creature he has ever physically touched. His body is able to somehow retain the dna make-up of such creatures and reconstruct his body with that pattern at will. This has resulted in Uncanny being something of a daredevil in his pursuit to 'touch' the biggest and best animals out there. Obviously he's yet to 'claim' the ability to turn into anything cool like a lion or a shark. But it's early days and like Pokemon - gotta catch 'em all!

Current situation: Zack has recently moved to Los Angeles to get away from his situation back home. His parents recently died in a fire at their workplace, leaving just himself and his grandmother. He was a professional skateboarder for a number of years before his parents died and has been living off royalties for several endorsements as well as those thanks to his appearance in several Tony Hawk's videogames over the years. With little direction at the moment, he's currently renting an apartment in Santa Monica while reflecting on recent events. Nobody knows that the third unlockable character from Tony Hawk's World Tour 2 is a mutant and for now, Uncanny plans on keeping it that way.

Name: Andrew Murphy, 2LT in the U.S. Army

Power: Phasing. So far he knows that objects can pass through him and he can pass through walls and other objects, often without requiring conscious thought. Further exploration of his powers will eventually lead him to the extent of Shadowcat's phasing powers. His ability to phase also grants him a degree of speed slightly over the average human.
Current Situation: A 2LT currently deployed to Afghanistan. Slowly but surely discovering that he has these powers as he appears to keep surviving engagements where he should've died. His superiors have started to notice.

Name: William Austin O'Hara (Aka: "Willow")

Power: Lieutenant O'Hara has the ability to shift the section of the electromagnetic spectrum his eyes are able to percieve. He can easily "redshift" or "blueshift" his vision towards infrared and ultraviolet respectively; he is also able to shift into microwaves and x-rays, but looses his ability to percieve visible light when he does so. As a side effect, he has a higher concentration of rods and cones, granting him better-than-average vision in low light conditions.
Current Situation: Lieutenant O'Hara is a young and enthusiastic Air Force officer, who qualified as a fighter pilot upon graduating from the Academy. When his mutation first manifested however, his lack of control caused colour blindness that disqualified him from flight status. He managed to secure an administrative role in order to remain in service, and in that capacity was transferred to Vanguard, initially as an attaché to Colonel Hunter. His hope is that by proving his worth to the Colonel, he will be able to earn himself a more meaningful role within the organisation.

Name: Pernilla Fitzgerald

Power: Pernilla has the ability to magnify powers of other mutants by sheer will, physical touch not required unless the magnification is against her will. When magnification happens at will, distance from source does not seem to be an issue. She can only amplify powers of one mutant, not a group. Excessive and prolonged uninterrupted use of her power physically weakens her and can kill her.
Current Situation: Pernilla comes from a worker class Irish family originating from the east coast. She came to California to study, but soon found herself in need of work. Currently, she is employed as a secretary in a large multinational company. As Pernilla tries to make her way up the corporate ladder and finally finish her degree in Marketing, her boss keeps harassing and mobbing her on a daily basis. The only reason why she does not quit her job is a sister in college who needs the money. Pernilla still has to discover her gift and its true nature.

Name: Detective John Jackson
Age: 39
Power: Jackson is able to sense the psychic imprint left on objects and areas by powerful or intense emotion. Older imprints are only vague emotions, but with fresher imprints he experiences flashes of thought and image as well: enough to discern the cause of the emotion, but not to identify who it is specifically directed at. He can only sense the imprint on inanimate objects: he cannot read emotions from people.
Current Situation: John Jackson is an NYPD Detective, and was one of the founding members of the Mutant Crimes Unit in New York. Following the formation of a Los Angeles MCU division, he is "on loan" to the LAPD in the spirit of support and cooperation between the two organizations, providing the LAPD with access to the NYPD's records, case files, and crime labs.

Andrew is capable of magnifying the kinetic energy in any inanimate object that he can physically touch. He can turn the smallest item into something akin to a sledgehammer. Lord knows what will happen if he charges up something large like a speeding car.

His nickname comes from his affinity for projectile weapons. From turning a simple nerf-gun into miniature grenade launcher or small caliber hand gun into an anti-tank cannon. Good thing that he hasn't gotten his mitts on any heavy ordinance.

Weaknesses: While his powers in certain circumstances make it seem as if has super-strength, Slug is just as frail as a human. Heck one slip on a patch of ice and he could crack his head open on the ground.


Bio: Andrew, 'Andy' to his friends and 'Slug' to everyone else. He was a small-town Wisconsin kid, good grades in high school, star soccer player, and had a lot going for him. Of course genetics can come into play and all of a sudden you can find yourself nearly putting a soccer ball through an opposing player. Persecution forced him on the run and he managed to hold up with several different mutant covens; all the while honing his new abilities as an athlete would. But all those options he had before were long gone and his perspective on life changed a bit.

Long-story short, Andrew found himself in LA along with a crew, both mutant and human outcasts, holding up in an old warehouse. After the fiasco of the Brotherhood, the X-Men, and other violent groups, his new family grew fed up.

One of the group still had ties to the rest of the world and good chunk of change and several connections to her name. A small idea turned into a huge operation as their home went from a dingy warehouse to an alternative nightclub.

The place was named The Haven and is widely considered to be neutral ground to all parties in the crazy genetic bickering and anyone, human or mutant, could find refuge there. Make no mistakes, if you step out of line in their territory the Havenites won't hold back from squashing you into paste.

Power: Terrus is able to manipulate solar energy and has the ability to generate it during the day. Can generate a limited amount at night.

Current: Terrus is a loner for now looking for a way to benefit himself with his power, as well as find mutant allies.
