Okay so my question is I want to start this guy off as a Major in the basic armed forces. I want to know if I can start him out at the rank?

Secondly I want to know if he can put in charge of his own special forces group?

Yes, I see no problem with it.

Yes, although most people do at least one thread before they go off and do their own little thing.

Its fine for your character to be a Major.

There are already a number of special forces within the Alliance you might want to take a look at so that you dont duplicate or that you can see what type of command you need. You can always get involved with one of the pre-exisiting specialties if you like, however that may then effect the rank you come in at.

Most of the heads of those special forces groups haven't been active for at least months most longer. Secondly I'm still waiting for replies from some of those leaders I contacted regarding a character I created back in July to join a specforce group.

Those existing SpecForce leaders are inactive as you know, so I think you should/can go ahead and create another SpecForce group to RP in/with. My opinion.

Most of the Special Forces are still active, even if the leaders are not, specifically Alliance Intel, SpecOps, some members of Specforce, The Wolfpack (new) and Support Services, as well as Rogue Squadron all have current threads about the place.

But by all means, create your own. But like I suggested, see the list to see what is needed :)

As for your other character you mentioned that you are still waiting a response on, perhaps post it here like you did this thread. Reply time is usually better as there is always someone around. Or PM someone else within the group. Waiting can suck.
