Stumbled across this list - quite fascinating:

I fondly remember my walkman, still have old 3.5" floppy disks lying around and to this day still record to VHS tapes (courtesy of my 7+ year old VCR/DVD combo player). :) My car is also old enough that it has a cassette player in it too (although these days I just listen to my iPod via a converter into the stereo).

... and before anyone mentions it - yes, there are actually NINE items listed (even though the title says only 8). :twak :lol

I remember watching Star Wars on laser disc! Did you have to turn the disc over halfway through? o_O
I think we still have a tonne of floppy disks somewhere. Luckily, we have no computer capable of reading them - I dread to think what they contain :lol

Ha! Yeah, I've watched Labrynth on laserdisc, and my uncle had an old caddy once that had an eight-track player in it. I recall he only had one eight-track album though, and it was Cat Stevens.
I'm actually kind of surprised that zip disks and zip drives aren't on that list. I remember those were real big while I was in college, but when recordable cd's came out that was all she wrote for the poor zip.

Zip drives died a swift death, and rightfully so. They were garbage. When they went bad, they went bad.

I still have my mini-disc player in a shoe box somewhere, surely that counts as a relic.

The computer labs at college had a zip drive on every machine. It was common to hear the click of death from across the room, followed by a string of artful cussing.
