On training?

Okay so here is the problem I got a few character's whom I have had for a while one being my Jedi Jackson Mcgraves who haven't really had chance to improve or mature. It's fun and all for a while being the padawan in Jackson case but eventually you want your character to grow and see how develops as he gets stronger. See how turns out will he slip into the darkness as his powers grow or will stay persistent with what he thinks are ideals of the Jedi. (I say what he thinks are the ideals because he doesn't exactly know he has had very little teaching it what it means to be a true Jedi.)

Any way I have really ever had the opportunity in Jackson's case and few other characters to see how they would evolve because I couldn't find anyone to train them. Now I have this other character I am working on and I want them to learn the force but again I really don't have anyone willing to train them so they can grow in Jackson's case or even learn the force in my other characters case.

Now I know there is or was a rule that said you couldn't train your own characters. Now I have two sith lords/masters which really doesn't help Jackson if he continues down the Jedi path. I was wondering if there is any possibility that might be able to train my own characters?

I have tried to find people to help but no one was willing or had other obligations which is fine but left me at loss for what to do? With the other character it would also work really since she is already hanging out with one of my lord/master rank characters and their stories will be intertwined.

Mind you my purpose is not to say bam there now masters. I want to make them grow as characters see where it might lead right there stories as the begin there path down the dark side in the case of my one character and the case of Jackson it would be see if matures as he begins to learn more about what it is to be Jedi.

I know it's not easy choice to make because it is something that could be abused real easily but I haven't been left with allot of options. I mean Jackson has been padawan not learning anything new since the reset.

If possible I would also like if it's okay to make a force user master to train Jackson or maybe even have of my sith train him. The latter is more likely because he is getting mixed up in another story I am working on but in the end I would like to see him be a Jedi in the end.

ATM I am only looking to do it for these two characters even though I have three other force users in pretty much the same scenario but for now I can wait on them. Jackson is because he has been stuck where he is at for five years. The other because it would both be convient for the plot she is getting herself tied into with one of my sith.

So yah or nah or your thoughts?

I don't have any problem with you writing with your own characters, having them train one another. I am of the opinion that 'training' has been traded in for 'character development' and as long as character development is done reasonably, it's fine by me if one person is writing both characters.

Your other option is, at least for Jedi, just have him arrive on the Wheel. Say that a Rebel contact gave him the co-ordinates, and he immeadiately gains access to, if not a master, then at least fellow Jedi to learn alongside.

As far as creating a new character at Master level goes, that wouldn't be allowed.

I kind of figured that training had been trade in for storyline/character development but it's best to be sure what can be allowed. Character development is what I was looking for anyway.

No big deal on the master thing I was just wondering what my options might be I total undestand why. I might try the wheel then I will have to think on it.
