Oh wow sweet. I thought it was going to be a mobster game (Rockstar's answer to Mafia II), but a detective story is very cool. Haven't seen one of those in video games in a long time... actually not a console game ever that I can recall, and definitely not a noir.

Rockstar has fantastic writers and always gets great voice talent. I love Red Dead Redemption and I'm sure I'll be all over this, too.

The only noir game I've ever played was the fantastic Discworld Noir, though obviously by its very nature that was pretty heavy on the comedy and parody.

What about... Heavy Rain, was it? I played a demo of that and it seemed a little bit noirish, though set in more of a contemporary time period.

Just took a look at Heavy Rain and I think I know what I'm spending this last $25 off my Game Stop gift card on. Wow.

I guess I will wait for some kind of GOTY Edition for this one since I think Rockstar Games knows how to make really good DLC but I don't want to end up buying the DLC on the first day again and instead I want to get them in a bundle this time.

Plus with Homefront, Crysis 2, Shadow Complex, Limbo, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and Fable 3, I still have a lot of games to play.

This is available to pre-order for PC on Steam now, at a 10% discount. Not a great saving, at just £1 less than the price on Amazon.co.uk. I think I'll probably just hang on until I have my Xbox then pick it up for cheap!
