Talia al Ghul

There were very few odors in the world that could ever match those pervading East End; the air there smelt of rusting industrial machinery, improperly disposed toxic waste, the rotting stench of sewers evaporating through poorly kept canalization systems. It was only worse when it rained, dirt floating up with rising waters, consequently bathing the slums in sparse, mucous mud.

Yet people made a living at East End - some in more decent, others in less decent ways - keeping that forsaken part of Gotham alive. What the rest of Gotham called crime was the law at East End, a set of rules to abide by if one wanted to survive. Those who tried to oppose the mob were quickly disposed of, often publicly to teach others a lesson. The Godfathers would provide as long as the people of East End were servile, they promised - but all they ever gave back was sorrow, despair and hopelessness. Yet, the most peculiar of animals found her habitat in this district forlorn.

Clad in a dark gray leather bodysuit, Talia disembarked her black Honda CBR and pulled the helmet off her head, dark hair assembled in a neat braid dangling down her back. She kept the gloves on, purely for hygienic reasons and then glanced down at the rear-view mirror. Heavy make-up she wore, coupled with silver lens, made her look nothing like herself. An amused smile crossed her lips.

"If only daddy could see me right now." she mused briefly before scanning the the perimeter for threats; only when Talia was completely sure nobody was following her, she locked the helmet to the seat of the bike, turned sharply on her heel and headed down the darkened alley to the back entrance of The Stacked Deck.
