Barton Henning's status

Just so we're clear - Barton used to be a Jedi padawan before the purge... and now he's simply a doctor and a ship's captain. Is it general knowledge that he was a Jedi? I thought it was something of a secret.

Obviously Jen has the answer. I took it as not exactly a secret, but an unadvertised fact that only those who remember Barton would know unless he told them. And it seemed like a personal subject that he didn't share with too many folks.

It's not really general knowledge, no.

He has only discussed the fact that he used to be a Jedi with a small number of people, and he doesn't really involve himself in most of the Jedi business aboard the Wheel.
