View Full Version : Big Story:Superweapon?

There is a superweapon being constructed in the CSA for the Empire.

Serena is supposed to have some knowledge of it to turn the Rebels and Jedi on to its existence.

I would like to know what this superweapon will be, exactly. I can't really 'leak' information about it if I don't know what it is. The last I heard there were a lot of possibilities, but nothing firmly decided.

I would assume that the Imperials will be / have decided on this?

As far as I know, we've been leaning towards something like this (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Eclipse-class_Super_Star_Destroyer). I don't know that we specifically decided it is one of those, but we've certainly been talking about a supership the whole time, and something that is capable not just of taking on large fleets of enemies, but is also capable of doing some sort of serious damage to planets, and what-not.

How much information do you really need to know? Is it something Serena has just overheard in passing, or did she manage to trick one of her captors into an evil monologue about their nefarious plan?

Oh the Eclipse... now that takes me back...

Wonder if the Imps will let Sumor take it out for a spin... For old times sake...

Just to correct my earlier post: it is an Eclipse.

Not that anyone IC will know what one of those is, of course. But it does give you something to work from... it's "a new class of Star Dreadnaught," with "enough weapons to take on an entire fleet," or to "decimate the surface of a planet". Cool, scary stuff like that.

:)

PS. If they do let Sumor drive it, please ask him to crash it. Preferably into something important. Like Coruscant. ;)

Well, OOC I figure it doesn't matter if I know it all or not, does it?

I guess I should PM Tear as I think he's the one who arranged for Serena to 'know' this stuff. Or something.

Well last time he drove he was a Sith, and while I don't think we ever used it's superlaser on Dagobah, we did use the superlasers from three Sovereign Class. So I suppose it's only fair that since he's a Rebel now in the post reset that he drives it into Coruscant.

First I've heard about this. Not that I mind, I was working towards developing a super dreadnought or two, really a whole plethora, on Hoth, in secret, for some half-baked plan I've been working towards.

However, since this has been drawn into the spotlight would their be interest in a collaboration? Something akin to a sister project, or maybe a counter project.

Travis has been working on developing a 'plethora' of super dreadnoughts at Hoth, of all places? What like blue prints or the actual ships themselves?

The project for this supership was contracted, in secret, by Tear when he was still active within the Inquisitoriate proper. Or at least that's been the established idea.

At this stage its still blue prints, and establishing the infrastructure necessary to advance to the construction stage.

Hoth is just a convenient world for Travis to conduct such a black project. The planet is "remote", unpopulated, close to home (for Travis), and offers physical features which can be easily modified to support hidden construction facilities. All that and like I said this is a half-baked plan.

It's crazy, but then what in Star Wars isn't.

Like Tear says, the idea is that this is something he commissioned to be built in the Corporate Sector, years ago. The idea in a nutshell is that everyone finds out about it, and there's something of a mad dash to deal with the thing.

Karl and one of my guys fly out to the Corporate Sector to retrieve the ship, and move it to a "safe location". Tear has a plan in place to invade the Corporate Sector, which he has to accelerate once the secret gets out. And the Rebels - unaware of Tear's involvement - approach the Independents for "help" in dealing with this dangerous new Imperial superweapon.

Hijinks ensue, Karl successfully retrieves the ship... and then Karl and Miranda, neither of whom really approve of "superweapons" as a rule, have a sort of "Well damn. What the hell are we going to do with this now?" reaction.

I think. That's what I remember of the plan, anyhow.

I just pictured someone driving it to Coruscant where a whole bunch of head scratching ensues:

"We could make a theme park on it."
"What about a trash ship? Goodness knows Imperial Centre makes enough garbage to fill that thing."
