Apparently this is the new in thing, so here is my thread for you to ask questions about the abundance of imaginary nutjobs I roleplay.

Does Vega have a good side to him or is always so dark and evil twenty four seven?

Let's just say theoretically Grace or Dasq dies in some horrific accident does Bryna Belargic just vanish or is there a time line split?

What is Dasq going to think of his sort of woman sleeping with Jamo?

Does Salem hold back his students so they won't try to usurp him when he becomes Emperor or at least thinks he will become that?

Do you have any plans for Arruuko?

What sort of long-term ideas do you have for Aaron? Where will the Hapan fugitives go???

When's Jamo gonna take that shot that Cirr owes him!

He has an incredibly one track mind, at the moment. He is absolutely selfish and everything he does is purely to fuel himself - quite literally, since he would probably fall apart if it wasn't for the Force

Impossible to see the future is ;)

What Dasq doesn't know can't hurt him :p :lol

Does Salem hold back his students so they won't try to usurp him when he becomes Emperor or at least thinks he will become that?

Undoubtedly yes. He teaches them only what they need to fit their specific roles in his grand scheme.

None what so ever! Just a bit of fun really :)

Like every good fugitive, to the Rebellion. How he gets there is another story... but I hope that Elaine will come with him, and she can fill the Princess Leia role that the Rebels are lacking! :D

When's Jamo gonna take that shot that Cirr owes him!

I guess he has got one coming... ^_^;

Arruko should run off with Daani when she escapes her mother's evil clutches. ;)

He can be her First Officer, obviously she gets to be Captain.

Yes, Daani and Arruuko should have some kind of awesome "woops we stole a ship" thing

Hahahaha Aaron is going to meet Taataani (and his doooom)

When is Dash just gonna man up and go on a proper date with Charlotte? :lol
I kid ;)

questions...questions...

What's with Salem and his pool of female apprentices? Is this just random happenstance or is there actually something to having a bunch of women at your command?

Dasq! Seriously... what's his opinion and feelings about going from being one of the top people in the Rebellion to basically being a flunky for some two-bit crime lord? :lol Good for cover yes... but how does he honestly feel about it? If/When the New Republic is up and running, would he keep Em as some sort of contact or happily drag her and her crew off to prison?

Who would win in a fight between Vega and Salem? :ohno

Pride isn't one of his sins. He doesn't think any less of himself, but right now he is mostly disappointed in what he thought he was standing for... which it feels like he has been betrayed by. It's not a "I will get my revenge!" kind of hurt, just a cold realisation that he was more expendable than he thought.

He wouldn't throw Em in prison, because he knows the value of a good CI ;) plus, she has been good to him.

Salem without a doubt. Vega is completely under the sway of his own impulses and emotions. Salem would out-class him in a matter of minutes.

You play quite a mix of male and female characters. What makes you choose one way or another? Is it obvious when you cook up your characters whether they're a he or a she, or is it luck of the draw? Are there any characters that you feel definately wouldn't work if their gender changed... and any that you feel definately would?

Imagine you're casting a cheesy American sitcom about several of your characters sharing a house. Who lives there, who are the quirky neighbours, and what's the theme of the show?

Who was your first character on 'Fans? And if you still play them, how have they changed over the years? (Use this last question for the character that's been around the longest if 1st character doesn't exist anymore.)

Also, how does Salem deal with Razielle now being an NPC and stuck on Hapes all the time?

Dasquian - this is hard because he would fit comfortably into Gryffindor or Ravenclaw... but Hufflepuff wins for me in the end. Hard-working, friendly, loyal, modest and non-judgemental.

Jamo - Brave to the point of recklessness? Gryffindor.

Tera - Hard-working, salt of the earth... Hufflepuff.

Salem - Slytherin. I don't think that one requires explanation.

Daria - Slytherin... but hear me out on this one. Slytherin's are supposedly very... careful to consider their actions, as opposed to Gryffindor impulsiveness. They're determined, resourceful and skilled in self-preservation. She has also had her brush with the Dark Side.

Cael - I guess he would be a Slytherin too. Cael is fairly ambitious, having made it to the pro leagues in competitive swoop racing. He's not as hot headed and impulsive as Jamo, otherwise I might have said he could fit into Gryffindor.

Vega was my first proper character. He has changed quite a bit since the reset, but the key driving force behind the character is still the same: a selfish desire to get what he wants. Pre-reset, that was a lot more diverse and fluctuating depending on whose good graces he could lie his way into.

As for Salem... he is a patient man, always has been. IC, Razielle has done exactly what he needed her to do to push along his game plan, so the fact that he might only get to see her a handful of times in the span of a year isn't so bad. Plus, as has been mentioned, it's not like he will ever be without company. He has a harem of female apprentices :p

Two things mainly sway whether or not a char will be male or female. One is image claim. The avatar for a character has to be absolutely spot on for me or I just can't get into the character (most of my characters come into being because I see a picture and go ooooo character!) Two is who I am going to be roleplaying with. I consider whether a male or female character would best fit or compliment a story I might be creating them to fit into.

Sitcom... Dasq & Grace? :lol Dasq always was a little bit camp ... :uhoh

Grace and Dasq - destined to be together or forever be hindered by the universe's horrible sense of humor? I saw your response to him thinking he was left behind which of course isn't true, which only perpetuates that the universe is evil for them :p

Destined to fight to be together ;)

Why does Vega turn into a horrible man beast instead of a pretty vornskr wolf like s'Il and Arya? :(

My rationalisation for this is that he is rotten to the very core. His body is either decaying or has been replaced by some synthetic replica, so it seemed only natural that his 'wolf form' should be a reflection of that, with patches of baldness within his fur and general manginess all round.

These two question are to old school Vega.

1. Why did he lust over Blade so much it was rather uncomfortable? :p

2. The more serious question what would Old school Vega think of his newer incarnation?

As am I!

Also...

Judgement Day has happened! The machines are steadily taking over the world, but because Britain is too close to France, they're far too scared to come anywhere near us. Yet.

Unfortunately, they have taken over the internet, and that bastard Skynet will only let you log in as one character, for the rest of time. If you were given the choice - if you could post as no one else - who would it be?

The dichotomy with pre reset Vega for me was that he desperately wanted to be part of something, part of a powerful unit, but he was far too manipulative himself to ever trust the people around him. After he left the Sith Empire, he was under the impression that everyone everywhere was just waiting for the right moment to stab him in the back - so it was in his best interests to do the deed before they got the chance.

For all his arrogance, he was pretty cowardly and I think that if he met up with post reset Vega, he would be intimidated by him - though he wouldn't show it, of course. Post reset Vega doesn't hide what he is and he has effectively thrived as a lone wolf. That is something I don't think pre reset Vega could have done, hence gathering a large number of apprentices, family members, allies, etc around himself. He relied very much on the image of Vega Van-Derveld, the reputation that preceeded him, where as this new version of Vega isn't the kind you will hear about until he's slitting your throat.

What was your inspiration for Daria? She's always been cautious but over time we've seen her open up in her relationships with certain individuals - how would you say she's evolved emotionally since her inception to now?

When we first started writing Daria and Wyl as a pair, there was a hesitancy in their interactions together because of their unfamiliarity with one another and their past experiences. What was her initial reaction to having an apprentice basically thrust upon her during negotiations with Grace and Dasq and has her outlook changed? How so?

The initial inspiration behind Daria was Bastila Shan, who is an EU Jedi from the Knights of the Old Republic games. Her theme music still works as a great go-to piece for writing Daria, for me :)

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/zeoGAKXsMjE?fs=1&amp;hl=en_GB"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/zeoGAKXsMjE?fs=1&amp;hl=en_GB" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

She started off as quite brash character. She didn't exactly have a normal childhood, getting carted off to a secluded Jedi academy as a Jedi, so she didn't really develop particularly strong social skills. She was flighty and essentially quite selfish. If you look at Crossroads, the last place she wants to be is meeting with Dasq and Grace. She didn't want an apprentice, certainly not a child, and didn't want to tie herself to the Alliance. She felt she was better off alone, just getting by - but the Force had other plans.

Now... well, things have changed a lot since then. She has come to terms with the fact that running forever from the Empire would not work and that the Force seems to have a plan for her. She was quite severe to begin with so I feel like she has mellowed out a lot over time. I'm not sure she has turned into the character I originally imagined or wanted her to be, since she was more of a ... stick in the mud, I guess, in my mind - but after a little period of panic (surrounding her feelings for Navaria) I think she is starting to get her identity to back.

Funnily enough, she hasn't really had an apprentice since Wyl. I think she finds the whole experience of teaching to be.. daunting. I guess that's the next hurdle she has to really overcome.

Continuing on the Daria line of thought, but taking it back a bit to pre-reset.

How did she feel about Naj? I do admit to a bit of ignorance on the interaction between those two, but I do remember them being a pair of terrorizors at one point. I've always been curious about the partnership of those two ^_^;

Even I'm confused by the weirdness of that question. Oh well!

Probably Salem. There is a lot of unwritten history for him: his time as a padawan, his fall to the dark side, how he found the mask of Callidus. I could effectively write every type of story that I would with any other character with him.

Barton Henning: What does he believe makes a successful life? What does he consider to be his greatest strength? His greatest weakness?

Right now, a successful life is getting by and knowing that he is making a difference. At the core of his character is the need to feel that he is useful, that even in some small way he is contributing. It's nice to think about settling down on a quiet planet somewhere, maybe in a little farmstead, but he'd feel guilty the entire time he's there. I suppose that's what he's driven largely by: guilt. Knowing that he's been shirking his responsibility... which leads neatly into the next point!

Barton, at this point, has effectively given up on himself as a Jedi. That is probably his greatest weakness. He is a gifted healer but it's almost as if, to him, the time of the Jedi has passed. The sun has set on the Order and the Republic and what's likely to come out of the end of the galactic civil war won't be anything like what was there before. He will look back at himself as a boy, a padawan, and trying to imagine his older self in that role again is hard.

The closest analogy I can think of is.. when you're incredibly close with someone, who for one reason or another you drift apart from. Years later you meet up again and, although you're still amicable, nothing feels the same anymore. You laugh about the old times, but you can't quite seem to get beyond the reminiscing into a new stage of friendship.

I don't know what I would say his main strength is, sadly. He means well.

Is there ever a chance that Jamo and Sanis would ever do anything else than beef? They both seem like the same alpha male going after the only bone available sometimes. I love the rivalry, don't get me wrong. I just wonder who would blink first, if ever?

I do like the rivalry, but it would be interesting to see what would happen if they were forced to really trust and rely on one another. If they were... crash-landed somewhere and had to survive in hostile territory whilst waiting for an Alliance pick up.

Naj Arilov rescued Daria from herself, taught her how to speak Basic and how to control the natural gift for the Force that she had - and yet she always thought of him as a funny little man, who she could have snapped like a twig if she'd wanted to. They were lovers, but it was a very practical kind of relationship, no romance or love. I think Naj worried (and perhaps even cared) about her a lot, because she lacked self awareness about her own eccentricities, having come from a back-rocket world essentially populated by Amazon warrior women who keep men only for breeding :p
