Mad Men is set in the 1960s, at the fictional Sterling Cooper advertising agency on Madison Avenue in New York City. The show centers on Don Draper (Jon Hamm), creative director at Sterling Cooper, as well as those in his life, both in and out of the office. Throughout it references changing social mores of 1960s America.

Mad Men has received critical acclaim, particularly for its historical authenticity and visual style, and has won multiple awards, including nine Emmys and four Golden Globes. It is the first basic cable series to win the Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series, winning it in 2008 and 2009.

I've seen the promo for the 2nd season here in Australia - looks awesome (even moreso considering they use The Golden Age by The Asteroids Galaxy Tour (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5h-LAvQDCQ) as the song in the background).
