I am so utterly lost. I haven't been able to keep up with anything this week because of crap at work. I am stressed out beyond words IRL. I come back and we've gone from a casual pace to everything happening all at once. I don't even know where to begin trying to catch up.

My original plan was to start a crystal hunting thread, but I shelved that because everyone was so excited about the Serena thing that I didn't know when it made sense to set the thread in the course of events. And yes, it mattered because Drin does not have a lightsabre, but I couldn't take characters out on a big field trip to the Unknown Regions if the rescue was happening right away. Turns out, it did.

I then assumed I'd be on one of the teams going after Serena, but that seems to have gone so far I don't how to jump in and have it make any sense anymore. Of course I lost track of the planning thread there, so I didn't know what I would be doing anyway. I asked for someone to please brief me on the plan and let me know where I can fit in, but no one did, so I guessed that's all covered then? I did not want to just "jump in" because I had no idea how or where or when I'd enter.

Plan C was to maybe stay behind, but then it's established in the opening post that the Padawans are masterless on the Wheel, so I don't know if that would make sense either.

Life really picked the wrong week to take me out of circulation. :( Somebody give me something to do here. Please?

It's okay, really it is :) There's no set guest list to the serena action. Here's how it stands currently.

Rescue I: diversionary action by Rebel special forces. I doubt Drin would be here, but maybe as a Jedi Liason of a sort?

Rescue II: Serena rescue itself. Basically two groups, one diverting a train, and another rescuing Serena. Lotta lightsabers, so maybe that's not optimal.

Rescue III: Assaulting a tractor beam station to ensure Layla's escape. This is a mix of jedi and rebels here. I think it would be a great fit to have Drin here, honestly. They haven't debarked yet in the thread, so you could certainly write in the approach and head out with the rest of the other dudes on speeder bikes.

And if you wanted to insert yourself in the staying home thread, I'd think that would be just fine. I don't think it's been explicitly stated that there are no knight/master-level Jedi, just that whoever would normally be teaching the children right now is absent. Drin could step in to allay their fears like the big, fuzzy lummox he is.

Regardless, Anbira speaks truth - Group III of the Serena rescue could definitely use Drin's muscle. If you want to join Group II, we can certainly work it, though it's already a bit crowded with Jedi.

And if you still want to get started on your crystal hunting thread, the timeline would be flexible enough to absorb that either before or after Serena's rescue. And if Drin needs a lightsaber for the rescue mission, I'm sure a Master could find a loaner for a mission of this magnitude.

Heck, Kala, a Padawan, has two. Take one of hers. ;)

Hey Drin,

I'm carrying a spare lightsaber (belonged to my dead Padawan). If you are on Team II then just post talking to Lowrook and I'll toss it to you. If you choose another team, just flashback to a time where I gave it to you. You can talk about how it feels weird to use someone elses lightsaber.

And I totally understand about IRL issues. I hope they all get settled this week.

Here's the Team Three insertion. Bear in mind, the groups for both team 2 and team 3 are in this thread currently. They're getting to the point that the shuttle Black Cat (containing team two) is going to launch from Layla. Team three will be folks remaining on Layla.

The biggest reason why I want to be in on this actually is so that I can officially meet more people IC... and actually OOC, too. It's been so long that I was around this much, I don't even know most of the characters here anymore. :)

I got a Rebel field agent for team 1 if there's room, too.

For anyone else who is feeling daunted at the prospect of joining any of these threads... so far we have done a lot of scene setting and there is plenty of time for new characters to join. As Serena mentioned, there is a sticky thread in this forum that will take you to the roleplays themselves along with an OOC thread that has been created for the purpose of discussing the roleplay :)
